If any of you missed watching the Sarah Palin speach in CO., she knocked it out of the park! BHO is toast!
Nope, none of that, just his opinion. I don’t think he wants it, he just can’t see another way to get the masses off the government teat.
I didn’t say he was right, just what he thought.
Why did FNC cut Palin off? I've been getting mixed signals over Fox lately. Most guest, no matter which program, leans heavy on Democrats. When they get both parties, the Democrats get 2/3 or more of the time to rant their shi@. What is going on?
Fox News then interrupted her to bring some of Biden's comments to a UAW group. Compared to Palin's speech, you'd think Biden was at a funeral. Biden was sad and depressing, talking about all the businesses in Delaware that have left, Chrysler for one. He went on to complain about the Bush administration's promises when they took office in 2000: that he'd reach across the aisle, that he'd bring respect back to the White House, yada, yada, yada. He talked about loss of jobs, a military being stretched thin, blah, blah, blah. I wonder sometimes why some here on FR complain about Palin and McCain making the same comments over and over, when Biden and Obama spew the same crap too. The difference between McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden, is that McCain/Palin's comments are upbeat and positive, telling what they will do in Washington to change things. Obama/Biden repeat depressing and negative comments about what's wrong with Washington, but not providing any plans for change. There's nothing positive in their speeches. But I digress. Biden talked about how John McCain is out of touch, and went on to criticize him on various issues. Then he turns around and says how John has been a good friend of his for years, and that as President, if he asked me for help, I'd willingly give it. Huh?
I caught a bit of it and she was impressive. I hope she continues to grow as a speaker, gets away from the prompter more and talks from the heart.
She and McCain are coming to the Minneapolis area on Friday and I’m hoping to be there!
Who?
What?
Where?
When?
Why?
How?
It was drilled into us from day one. Too bad the main stream media doesn't follow those simple rules of reporting the facts.
Why would you post this without any details?????
You had to ask?? Donbeesilly, of course they won't.
The media has finally found a conservative who they can hate more than Reagan, and that has them happier than clams at low tide (or is it high tide?) because some of the younger MSM cretins don't remember him at his best. (which would be his worst in their perverted little minds)
Does a Senator have much input or control over the Federal Reserve, Treasury Dept. or the financial regulatory agencies? I don’t know, just asking. Of course, to expect the average voter to ask that is probably stretching it.
Has she moved on from the reader’s digest version of her acceptance speech much yet? It is a good monologue but my wife and I both have heard it three times and could do it ourselves - we know she has the moxie for more creative ways to take more territory. And the speech writers. I suppose they all do this.
I’m sure they also want to make sure as many audiences resonate to the same messages but I can’t wait for more to go with her what we all loved on that great Wednesday evening that will live in history as the rebranding of the Republican party.
I told my daughter that just as the Nixon/Eennedy debates defined a new era, as TV came into its own because of "sweaty Richard", this is the year the Net changes everything.
No longer do the MSM define the arguements. The freedom of information flow is now Youtube, and the genie will not go back in the bottle. Anyone can invent a political commercial with the tech in their PC, and it is nationwide for free by the next day.
The ultimate line was when she put the Alaska Check Book online so that citizens could watch the spending!!!
WEverone has a check book!
I was late to press the post button. My questions have been thoroughly answered already...
Just testing the tag
We’ve went over the definition of “stump speech” a few times here. But, whats neat about your observation-and I feel the same way-is she leaves you wanting more. You want to hear her speak on all the topics. And, not just because she is good at it, but, because she is right on all of them-at least from a freepers perspective.
bump
There's nothing new in this angle. They've been running against Bush from day one, claiming that a McCain administration is nothing but another Bush White House. They got off message when Palin came on the scene, but are back to their old mantra. Frankly I don't think it will work. If you compare the two speeches (Palin's and Biden's), the contrast is stark. Palin's speech was upbeat, positive and exciting. Biden's was depressing, negative and almost maudlin in nature. I particularly liked his lengthy criticism of John McCain, then turning around and saying what a good friend John has been over the years. So, how can you demean someone who you claim is a good friend? Could it be that he has actually been bipartisan and worked with the Democrats? It was almost as if Biden had to make those ending statements to apologize for attacking McCain to begin with. Some attack dog.
Did say say how many people were at the Biden speech?
Denver Post said 10,000 showed up.
