It is time to get things underway.
A very wet Texas is digging out from the damage left from Hurrican Ike. Ike is now over the northeast and is still a very wet storm. Best wishes and prayers to those in Ike's path. As far as I know, we are enjoying a reprieve from tropical storms at the moment.
The NYTs has put out at least 4 stories smearing Sarah Palin. Have they covered the Ayers-Obama relationship? Have they investigated as to whether Nobama is even eligible to run for President? I don't think so. In a non-related matter, stock in the NYTs is at an all-time lo.
Speaking of stock and financial problems, Lehman Brothers has declared bancruptcy and Merrill-Lynch is facing a probable buyout by Bank of America.
We cannot ignore the IRS problems that Rangel is having. Not reporting income from a vacation home seems to be tax-fraud. Is he still active in Congress? Is he a demoncRAT?
There is 49 days left until the national elections. We have some work to do.

I think you’re correct. I’ve tried texting Kassie this morning and haven’t heard back. It could be her cell is out of power since she hasn’t been able to recharge it.
yes, and I note on another thread, here, that Dayton Ohio has thousands w/o power. Hard telling how many patchy outages there are.

Just been busy and major computer woes.
We were without power yesterday but by night fall, the lights came on. Ike’s winds moved through our area yesterday, we have limbs and power lines down. We are east of Indianapolis towards the Ohio line.
Lots of folks in IN, OH and PA are without power.

Well, Congress is in the hands of the dims and has been for a long dang time - they were manipulating before they even had the majority and little Nancy and Harry took over.

You are so correct about that. Not only has the Congress been manipulating the economy, but we need to set Charlie Rangel up as a good example as to how the RATS operate.
He is the CHAIRMAN of the HOUSE WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE! He wrote the tax code. But obviously he thinks the code doesn’t apply to HIM!
The RATS always think there is one law for “the little people” and another for them. And they have manipulated the system this way. The banking fiasco is but one symptom of it.

Y’all may know that I frequently suffer with migraine headaches. Just this past week BOTOX has been touted as a new migraine treatment. I’m sorry. I do not think I’ll go with it. BOTOX stands for BOTULISM TOXIN. No thank you! TOXIN = POISON That isn’t hard to understand.

Good Morning Everyone. It’s nice and cool this am in Central Texas, but by 1700 will be in the 90s. Oh for a whole day with cool weather...what a pleasure that will be.

We need to save both the Yahoo Group and the beta url to our favorites, just in case.

Jem, hopefully you will find something, besides metapause, to rid yourself of those migranes. My heart aches whenever you have them. My aunt had them and suffered, terribly.

I’m post-menopause. It didn’t help.
During my recent hospital stay, I had a headache throughout. I was receiving morphine around the clock and it didn’t help the headache pain at all. When I got home, I took some benadryl, naxoprin and aspirin. I slept for about 8 hours straight. When I got up, no headache.
