when the official doesn’t throw a flag for contact after 5 yards when the pay is 10 feet in front of him they had better win.
I remember during the Dennis Green era how some irate Viking fans were clamoring for “smash mouth, defensive, running football”.
They got their wish.
By the way, the “smash mouth” version of football died with the leather helmet and the 240 lb offensive lineman.

Peterson is the only performer in the offense. The challenge is to keep him involved without the type of absolutely predictable playcalling that we get from Darrell Bevell.
officials miss calls all the time. Poor sport.
Look, if the ref calls the penalty like he is supposed to the Vikes are running down the clock and getting closer to FG. Instead the favored sons of the NFL wind up getting the ball back.
The play calling for the Vikes does suck though..

You’ll get no argument from me, I’m a Viking fan. However, we played the favored team of the NFL last week.
I am not a Vikings fan. Don’t try and pretend to be anything else but a homer when you can’t acknowledge that your team caught a huge break due to piss poor officiating.
Oh, and Tony Dungy should have been flagged for walking out so far onto the field. Not supposed to do that.
