Word spread around our area of TN last evening that gas prices would jump drastically this morning. People lined up at gas stations to fill up last night.
On the 10:00 news, one of the Nashville stations was poo-pooing the notion the prices would jump more than a few cents.
Prices yesterday ranged from $3.89 to $4.09 a gallon for regular. Today, it’s $5.29 a gallon for regular.
Disgusting.
NC, too.
Are you kidding?
If they raised the price more there wouldn't be a shortage/run. Restrain the irrational panic buying and punish the people creating the shortage.
There are lines all over Jackson Mich and around the state and price gouging.... I saw police at some stations keeping cars in lines. Gas is being raised in spite of no new loads arriving.
My second post.... I am staying with people in Jackson and he saw gas at BP at 5 PM.... a half hour ago.... for 6.55 in Lansing Mich...... and people were filling up....?
6.55? crazy...
How much is gas now? Yesterday I paid 3.79 and was happy to do it. After hurricane Ike (I live in Houston) you are lucy to find a gas station that is even open/functional.
It’s at 3.99 for regular everywhere, except there is no regular anywhere. Most of the plus is gone, leaving only premium at 4.29-4.49. I expect that will be gone by the end of the week, unless the deliveries start up again.
Ping.
wow! I’m thinking that we are probably going to be looking at high gas prices and somewhat limited supplies for the next month or so. I think pres. Bush will be allowing the refineries to produce gasoline without the various regional formulations, which may help.
It’s down 20 cents since Monday here
Did you get any gas? We are out all over Asheville. Hope to see ya soon in Franklin- I work in a lot of blood drives out there.
