Happened to read People.com to see what kind of "balanced" press People has given the McCains (of course, none... or not as much as the Messiah) and saw that Mrs. Messiah is on Paula's Party the 20th of Sept) This after she had "Mr. Jimmy" on a while back. The "wrinkly, white haired woman" needs to be Freep'd, boycotted, shown the door. And Smithfield Foods needs to fire her as a spokesperson due to flagrant BIAS! Have at it...
Well, that confirms that she's STILL mentally unstable.
Emerils in Atlanta went out of business, the food was overpriced and mediocre. They are auctioning off the wine cellar (not the wine, the shelving which was very cool looking) at the end of the month.
“Can you say Chinatown? Pho in the little Vietnamese place, or the dim sum in the place with no English on the menu is very inexpensive and as tasty as anything youll find anywhere.”
Been there, done that, agree wholeheartedly!
Well, Paula Deen grew up in Albany, GA and Jimmy Carter is from Plains, GA - they’re practically neighbors.
If you would like on or off the TV Chef Ping List please email me. :)
Wow, you'd have to be really shamelessly selling out to your sponsors for Sean "Ruth's Chris" Hannity to think it's over the top.
Typical liberal trait, they live to control every facet of everyone else's lives.
Since her food and recipes are, in my opinion, mediocre to bad, it’s not hard to give her up. I haven’t bought any of the products she sells for YEARS.
(By the way, on a sorta related topic, have you seen those weird, weird commercials for Hillshire Farms meats lately? It’s like the “help me I’ve fallen and can’t get up” people have taken control of their advertising account, LOL!)
Had dinner at their Morrisville restaurant last Fri. night.
Like the BBQ, love the chicken.
BTW, Paula was hawking Hillary in the Primaries. Soured my attitude on her.
I tried her bread pudding recipe and must admit, it was terrific.
You forgot Brunswick Stew
.....Savannah.....
Pirates House
That’s a good place. Better buffet, better decor, better view, better prices.
I think she is too loud and not very ladylike.
My best friend is from the Columbus/Albany area and she has a similar accent, but that’’s where the similarity ends.
Lots of people like her stuff; that’s why she’s so popular. The only recipe that I liked of hers was for cookie dough truffles, and even that, I had to go to another recipe for verfication because something was odd about the way she mixed the ingredients: it got glue-y her way, and was fine with the other recipe.
I notice that in her recipes, the proportions are, IMO, out of whack (way too much liquid in a potato soup for example). But I generally just use recipes as “suggestions” anyway (LOL!), so I’m not so tied to any one chef’s recipes, but might “borrow” from several related recipes.
That one would probably work.
She can’t add enough butter, cream or sugar.
BUMPing this thread that should’ve been entitled MICHELLE O’BAMA TO APPEAR ON FOOD NETWORK WITH PAULA DEEN. More free advertising for the Obama campaign.
Food Network needs to stay the hell out of politics. It was a refuge. No more Paula Deen for me!
Oh, and Paula, you gotta try my recipe for mud-slinging pie! You can eat it directly from the trough right next to your designated candidate’s wife. Add plenty of sugah, cuz that she is awfully bittah.
