A man called in to Rush's show today and related a fantastic story. The caller has a five-year-old Down's Syndrome child and went to a rally with his family.
They had a sign that referred to Down's Syndrome. He said that Palin saw the sign from the campaign bus and gave them the thumbs up.
The family was excited about the recognition. A little while later the secret service asked if the family if they would come with them.
The secret service agents took the entire family over to the bus and both McCain and Palin talked to the family. Palin asked if she could hold the Down's Syndrome child and did.
The caller said that they seemed like ordinary people and was amazed at how friendly and authentic they were.
Rush asked the caller to email the pictures, so, hopefully they'll be on his website soon.
This might seem like a stupid post, but, with all the vitriolic criticism coming from the MSM directed toward Palin, I thought it was so exhilarating to hear the truth about this incredible woman.
Hmmmm. I heard the very same story yesterday afternoon on the Hannity Show.
Perhaps MOM and Dad are enjoying telling that story?
It’s not a stupid post at all. It illustrates that they not only talk the pro-life talk, but they walk the walk.
It’s not a stupid post, but it reminds me of the original stuned beer post. I was reading this and waiting for the words “stress test” to appear.
Excellent!
Yes, I heard the story on Rush’s show.
I’m sure Sarah would like to hear from parents who’ve cared for their special needs child for five years. Some of the best resources in learning are mom and dad.
My eyes have watered more in the last two weeks then they have in 61 plus years!
We are into something really great here my dear friends!
There are few politions in Washington or anywhere else in the USA that I would feel comfortable sitting down at their kitchen table and having dinner with them. I do believe I would be most comfortable at the MCCains and the Palins houses , I bet it would fun and just like ole times around the table at my own house. Especially Palins kitchen table.
I hope you are not being sarcastic. Because if you are, then you are a bit below slime. If you are just acknowledging a proud moment for these parents then no offense. I would be proud that my child was recognized as a human being by candidates for the most powerful jobs in the world.
Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome. There’s no possessive to it.
Me too and I have ten years more on you.
Downs Yndrome?
Well, I beg your pardon. But I DID precisely the same story yesterday afternoon on Hannity’s show.
Nor was I being the least bit sacastic about the kid’s parents.
I think the stories are so similar they must be the same people.
Of course Baraq O’Bammy then came to town and healed all the special needs children.
Olberman told me so........
Dang, oops, sorry.
I great apologize if I have offended anyone.
Please forgive my ignorance.
Down Syndrome, I won’t make that mistake again.
Thank you for the reply. I apologize for doubting your motives but since there are so many trolls running about I have a tendency to be a bit gun shy. Again thank you.
great = greatly
I’m not sure if my brain can keep up with my typing or it’s the other way around.
I think I just have a bad editor, just like the MSM.
I must confess this caller had my eyeballs sweating when I listened to him speaking so pationately about the republican ticket.Sarah Palin is a natural leader, an brings out the best in Mr.McCain.
This video is dedicated to all the lady FReepers and strong women around the world - I salute you!!
