Excellent, that’s EXACTLY the kind of great posts I remember from you. Thanks for that! :)
Right on. Sorta puts the lie to their “we’re for the little guy” schtick, doesn’t it? Seriously, who’s “littler” than an infant with special needs?
I’ve known lots of children with Down syndrome. One of ‘em was in a Sunday school class that used the same room as mine an hour earlier, and every Sunday, he’d nearly break my hand with his overly-enthusiastic handshake. He was one of the sweetest boys I’ve ever known.
Two of our children have special needs, so this is an issue that hits a little too close to home. My wife and I were thrilled when Gov. Palin mentioned special needs advocacy last Wednesday, and I’ve been equally as disgusted with the nastiness coming from liberal bloggers and media types regarding her supposed poor parenting skills. Where are the feminists now?
Women and minorities are oppressed in our society, according to the libs. They don’t stand a chance without special laws, regulations, and special breaks through affirmative action in order to force the evil sexists/racists to make things more “fair”. It is the Democrats who provide these special breaks, and the natural home of such “victims” is the Democrat Party. The “victims” vote for the dims, who happily stay in power and dole out more and more favors in a spiraling cycle toward omnipresent government power and eventual bankruptcy.
When a member of a Victimhood Group jumps ship, it threatens to expose the fallicy of the basic foundation of Democrat power which would lead to the destruction of their party. Naturally, the Left is going to attack like cornered ‘Rats and they will do everything possible to completely destroy their target.
Sarah Palin is the current day Clarence Thomas.
Personally, I hadn’t known her for years, but for a few months I was telling my hubby that it would be a hoot and a half if she were picked.
Especially since I’m not a big McCain fan.

I am just now being made aware of her christian upbringing within the Assembly of God church. I have been within the denomination for over 25 yearsI know the kinds of teaching coming from those pulpits, most of the time it is simply just reaching out to people to know God, to live a life of example and humility, to serve as she has stated ,with a servants heart. I am proud to know that someone from those roots is willing to lay it all down for her country. She is following the example of her ultimate leader: Jesus. Let the left blather on and on, it means nothing in the realm of the eternal.”
Yes indeed, EXACTLY how I feel as well. It’s such a great feeling inside knowing where she’s coming from. If the libs are going to start referring to folks like her, which is US, as radical extremists, they’re pouring gasoline on themselves and then lighting their own match. They’ve already turned off millions of voting conservative Christian and even many moderate women I believe, and now they’re on the fast track to turn off any evangelical Christians that might have been misguided to vote for them before the past couple weeks. Saddleback started that when Obama stated it was “above his pay grade” to answer a question about abortion. Their vengeful hate filled attacks on Palin are finishing up that job quite well now. I wonder what the next voting block will be that they alienate? Hispanics? Blue collar labor union employees? The mind boggles.
The tactic by the left is to throw it all out there to see if anything sticks. I’m trying to figure out the October surprise we all know will be forthcoming.
I’m wondering if the National Enquirer will try to revamp their Palin affair story again.
The McCain camp forcefully and quickly issued the following statement:
The smearing of the Palin family must end, said senior adviser Steve Schmidt. The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Governor Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie...The efforts of the media and tabloids to destroy this fine and accomplished public servant are a disgrace. The American people will reject it...legal action will be considered with regard to this disgraceful smear.
The Enquirer issued a statement only stating incredible allegations...they didn’t state proof, just mentioned allegations. They certainly seemed to back down with the mention of legal action.
Clintonite Ben Altman owns the Enquirer.

Sitting at home, dressing their purse dogs up in tutus.
(hi!)
Oh really. That would be rich, but I need proof.
I first read about her after Trig was born, and the more I read, the more I wanted her on the Republican ticket. Imagine my surprise when I opened my browser on the morning of the announcement to find that McCain had made my wish come true.
There are lots of people like you who aren’t particularly big McCain fans who’ve nonetheless decided to support this ticket because of her.
Ha! The skanks among the protestors at the convention don’t strike me as the types to have purse dogs, but there ya go.
(hello!)
Perhaps the word you’re searching for to describe the left is ‘hypocrisy’? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2073918/posts
Could be cats in baby bonnets, who knows?
Yes, the attackers of Palin are buying yards and yards of rope....
“when did Hussein & michelle admit affairs? I missed that..”
Limbaugh cited that early last week or the week before, I forget which. It was early in the primary campaign I believe, I never did hear the specifics just that they had both commented on not having been faithful through their entire marriage. Makes sense why they fit in so well in the Democrat party, where fidelity is optional.
Yup. They’re helping Obama lose the election.
That point you made is so important. I think the Barracuda aspect of Palin is going to really be key. I just have this gut feeling that her toughness and aggressiveness will pay off big time, especially since she is like that, and doesn’t sacrifice one iota of her likability and attractiveness in being that way. She is the epitome of strong hard working women who didn’t sacrifice traditional family values in becoming so. She’s the complete female package in a political candidate. God willing we’ll all be voting for her at the top of the ticket in eight years.

Maybe she should run for U.S. Senate! Or Governor after Palin. :) The GOP truly couldn’t have too many women like her and Palin in positions of authority. Maybe some strong conservative women in key positions would help keep the conservative men in the Congress/GOP honest and stop them from becoming so weak and apathetic like we saw in the GOP in the late 90s and the past eight years, since that is afterall what cost the GOP the majority. They stopped being conservative and became addicted to courting the moderates.
“I am proud to know that someone from those roots is willing to lay it all down for her country. She is following the example of her ultimate leader: Jesus.”
I look at her as a modern day Esther.
