Cobble that with BO saying that tax hikes not a good idea for a recession, and now he’s slit the throat of his plans. He essentially admitted that the reverse is true — tax cuts are good for growth.

You’re making an assumption from the conservative (classical liberal) viewpoint.

If tax policy were intended to fuel growth and fund the government, yes, you’d be right.

But to 0bama, the tax code is to be used to implement what he determines to be “fairness”. That means taxing/punishing those who have “plenty” to give to those who have less.
The effects on the economy and revenue are not a high priority.

Hadn’t heard that Obama said that. He’s just backpedaling on everything lately. Shouldn’t raise taxes, and the surge has worked beyond our wildest dreams!
