I have never tried Zone Alarm but have heard good things. You won't believe this, but I went to McAfee "automated technician" and it "fixed" a registry problem. I went back into mcAfee and put the firewall, personal, and phishing back on and....son of a gun, it allowed me to go back on the internet without problems.
I am exhausted :-)so I am going to take a nap with Andy and Charlie. It is a cool, misty day - a nap under the afghan is going to be a good thing :-)

I think /johnny was right when he said to use Firefox as your browser to avoid all of the Exploder mischief that goes on...I hardly use IE anymore and I haven’t had problems in quite a long time...another thing to make sure you have is a physical cable-modem router between you and the internet, especially if you are using Comcast or Time-Warner...;-))
