Sounds interesting. Are they going to still start on time?
To: GOPinCa
YES! YES! YES!
A telethon to raise funds for those in the path of Hurricanes Gustav and Hannah!
GREAT THINKING, RNC!
P.S. I bought a 6-pack of Smirnoff Ice Light today and I’m soooooo looking forward to this convention!

I believe they are still planning to open the convention on Monday but sounds like it will be non-political. Not a lot of information yet, but the report said that more info would come in 1-2 hours.

Palin shows the wimpy dims how to operate a 48inch chain saw.....repair 125KV power lines ....while freeze drying breast pump milk for her new born.

If true, brilliant.
Instead of the Dem’s “bread and circuses” fiasco, it’ll be food and bottled water for suffering Americans.
Cool....:)
[and if anyone “important” is “listening”....don’t forget the pets!]

Fortunately this is a fast moving hurricane at 16 MPH and it could get to be just a lot of rain as early as Tuesday night. They then could condense the events into two days.

Be classy, proactive. That’s the way to handle it.

I never liked the McCain camp, but if that’s their plan, it’s genius.

What they should do is that, right in the middle of RNC events and speeches, they can go to a live feed in New Orleans or Houston and see hwat FEMA & the Red Cross are doing, as well as to talk to the people.
The telethon idea would be wonderful.... I already have my checkbook handy.....

To be honest I don’t know how I feel about this yet. If it is what some posters here say, then I say Bravo.

I know it wont matter what the RNC will do, the left will accuse them of trying to benefit from it.
But I like the idea.
