"Id say tread carefully and combine that with determining what stage of liberal dementia they are in. If its the early stages, then you can provide them with facts in a light-toned way. If they are already mush brained, it will be too late and all you can do is smile and let the election results do the talking."
Great stuff. Thanks. Fortunately, I've met VERY FEW people who have said they are flat-out "voting for Obama". I guarantee that I'd like to speak with folks with this diminished mental capacity......but have not YET. I'll check back with some of the usual suspects.....but your're right.....they may be too far gone.

Okies are folks who either migrated, or are the descendants of Oklahoma migrants. Merle Haggard is an Okie, despite being born in Oildale, because his father was from Oklahoma.
Okies are often stereotyped as racist rednecks, but many are actually quite successful and own some of the largest farms in the Valley.
Why would someone in California want to live AWAY from the coast anyway? Despite the GD awful politics, I couldn't take the hot, smoggy weather and thugged out farm workers of any town from Stockton down to Imperial.

Shower them with facts and they won’t be able to argue back and asking them questions about why they like Obama will ultimately reveal the lack of knowledge they have about the man, or of politics. I use to work in Hollywood and openly engaged in discussions because I couldn’t keep my mouth closed with all the libs ranting and raving. It was fun.

I'm up above near Caliente...in the good air. LOL. Very few Libs, but the Libs that we find will be re-educated.

Thank you for that. Excellent advice.

Oh ok. Thanks.
So, the original meaning then.
I’m a bit in wonder at everyone who works somewhere it’s aok to engage in controversial conversations at work.
Anything controversial is seriously tempting fate where I’m at - we even have to yearly take an online class to recertify we’re aware not to.
We don’t have a “diversity officer” or anything like that, at least that I’m aware of — but it’s certainly something which can cause sudden and unpleasant things to happen.

If politics and candidates come up, I try to make non-committal comments like “it sure looks like it will be a close election”, or “what a great fireworks show at Obama’s speech, he has lots of enthusiastic supporters”. Though I try not to talk about politics and sex and religion at all.

Don’t forget the Arkies, either.

I work with the military - and mostly staunch conservatives.
I printed the "McWhatshisname - PALIN" poster someone on FR made yesterday and it's prominently displayed above my desk. I've had nothing but positive comments.

"He said he keeps hearing that and asked what a Marxist was. When I mentioned Karl Marx he didn't know who that was either...and neither did any of the other Obama supporters in the office. Clearly, the lib run public education has suitably prepared the youth of today by making them ignorant and by denying them the tools to make informed, intelligent decisions. Ultimately, the guy didn't know anything about Obama and just fell back to his parents like him, and they wouldn't choose something bad for them so me must be ok. Sigh...and these people have votes?!" Which is why I have learned not to talk politics at work also. Liberals make no sense and and are so misinformed/delusional that it's difficult to talk to them without getting frustrated and treating them like the idiots they are.

I seek out the libs,,,and challenge them every chance I get!
Remember, liberals react to facts--like Linda Blair reacts to Holy Water.

I don’t discuss politics at work, at least not any deeper than the news of the day. Just too many pitfalls. (And it’s not that I work in a bad place. Catholic healthcare.)

Did you educate them on who Marx was and his ideology and why those principles are complete opposites of this great nation and all our founders willed for us? I gave a brief explaination of "to each according to his need, from each according to his ability" wealth redistribution being the core of communism. It was work and it was clear he was ignorant and I didn't want to bully him intellectually so I left it with that. At least he now knows that there are reasons people don't want to vote for Obama and he may not buy into the dem party demonization of accusing anyone against Obama as a racist.

I agree that it's a long slog to attempt to educate the liberal sheeple, and work isn't the most conducive environment to do it.

I work in the Berkshires of Western Mass. I have one of Jeff Head’s NOBAMA ‘08 stickers on my Subaru (still owe you that photo, Jeff). The Obamaniacs fall silent if I happen by. No one asks, I don’t tell.

I have a piece of paper with YES, WE CAN in about 12 different langages on my cube wall.
That REALLY confuses a lot of Obama guys when they find out that I'm to the right of Attilla the Hun.
