THEY met on the local hot rod scene. They saw one another at tattoo conventions around the area, comparing bikes. They looked like heavies, a band of Hells Angels, with nicknames equally tough: Mike Tattoo, Big Ant, Johnny O, Batso, Sal, Angel, Des.
They meant no harm. Clad in leather, inked to the hilt in skulls and dragons, with images of bloodied barbed wire looped about their necks, they shared something else a peculiar tenderness for animals, and the intensity needed to act on the animals behalf when people abuse them.

They went up RT 40 past my house.
Sounded like Armageddon was coming.
[I loved it]....:))
One of the wildest charity "rides" is found at Reg Pridmore's CLASS riding schools. Reg is a former AMA Superbike champion, and he and his crew give classes at tracks around the country. Well, it's something to be learning new riding techniques on a track, taught by a number of really excellent instructors (the year I went, one of the instructors was Jason Pridmore (Reg's son), who later that year went on to win the #1 AMA Supersport plate... Anyway, for a reasonable contribution to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, you get a few laps on the back of Reg's bike (or Jason's), and you get to see what it's really like to go around a track with a racer. Holy Snikes!
I didn't have the balls to do it... But I was passed like I was standing still on the long straight at Heartland Park, and I glanced down and noticed that I was doing 110MPH! Wow!

We have bikers against child abuse in missouri too. They are awesome!
Just seems like a great idea - kudos to whoever came up with it!
Awwww!
Thanks for the link - that video was a trip!
BTW, “Pork Chop” is a GREAT name for a dog!
Several years ago, hubby built a chopper from scratch using a 113 inch S&S motor.
[and yes, “he had it so he used it” which is why I have my own bike now]....LOL!
Now it scares him when I crack it on a straight stretch of highway to a measly 90mph.
[at least I don’t have to sit back there with utterly no control over my fate...and a half-crazy ex-drag bike racer with a big handful of throttle.]....LOL
I wish I’d had my camera with me last week.
I was westbound on I-70 and coming eastbound was a couple on a Dresser.
The man was driving, the woman was leaning sideways to see around him and behind her was a little dog wearing goggles and a helmet, leaning out even further to see around *her*.
It was one of the cutest, funniest things I’ve ever seen.
TATTOOED FREEPERS PING!!!!
I think the group is BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) - my dad’s a member here in CT.
Thanks for the ping. Hope you’re feeling better! :)
It is a shame people can’t look beyond what is on the outside & have to judge by a person’s looks. If they took the time to find what is inside a person maybe they wouldn’t have such bad opinions of bikers. Maybe all aren’t great people but I know more that are good then evil.
Hope you feel better soon!
