With no scars longer than an eighth of an inch!
What did you do in the war Joe Biden?
“Kerry was in the Navy?”
Yes, and this is what his Shipmates thought of him;

You could, however, get a deferment if you were married and had a child, or even if you were married and your wife was expecting a child. It was not a sure thing. It varied from Draft Board to Draft Board. I suspect it depended on how much trouble your Draft Board had in meeting its quota. If Biden was married in 1966 and his wife became pregnant right away, that may have been how he avoided the draft. Biden grew up in or around New Castle, Delaware, and that was probably where he registered for the draft. That is a fairly blue collar area, and Draft Boards in such areas typically had little problem meeting their quotas.
He’s a hero in his own mind.
Ummm...the soldiers I’ve dealt wth don’t have that attitude.
What bothers me more is the simple fact that Obi from Nairobi even is in the running. I hope a lot of democrats will wonder why this guy is on the ticket to begin with, and worry about his lack of experience in just about all areas he will have to command. After all any useful idiot can organize a bunch of locals into political entities.
I’ll cite two things that says you’re wrong.
The first is 9/11.
The second is the Marine Corps has been the branch that’s had the easiest time exceeding their enlistment and reenlistment goals and they know they will see combat.
“You could not get a draft deferment in 1965 by going to law school. One of my best friends, who finished college the same year I did, 1967, was drafted while he was in law school. They let him finish his first year, but then it was off to the Army for two years.
You could, however, get a deferment if you were married and had a child, or even if you were married and your wife was expecting a child. It was not a sure thing”
You are absolutely correct.
Umm! we’re a military family.......
Air Force?
Given that the United States Armed Forces have been the root of all suffering...all violence...all oppression and exploitation in the world since the start of the Korean War I’ll wager that the RATS see this as a *good* thing.
