With the Biden pick, Obama has just opened a huge opportunity for McCain!
If McCain picks Palin, he will win a landslide, not seen since the election of President Ronald Reagan.

Kay Bailey Hutchison continues to say she has no interest in being VP. She also would be a good choice, if she decided to go for it.
I really like Palin but I McCain has to pick a VP who will be perceived as being ready to take over, who has the “gravitas” (I hate that word), the years of executive experience and proven accomplishments. Palin needs more experience. Romney is ready.

i just yesterday saw Geraldine Ferraro say she wished McCain would pick Kay Bailey Hutchison. Don’t know if that’s good or bad. Seems to indicate that Kay would draw the older Dem woman demographic that is still POd about Obama.
I understand the fresh face, but I think she’s too fresh a face. I also think the fact that she has a baby is a negative. She’s probably still nursing the baby.
You have to pick someone that could be president, and I don’t think someone with a baby under a year old is a good idea.
She’s obviously a great asset to the republican party.

I think it would be great for the republicans to pick a woman VP, but there aren’t many who have enough experience.

I used to be a big fan of Condoleeza Rice, but I don’t really like how she’s been handling the Russia situation. I’m just not as impressed with her.
I think the VP cannot be just based on gender. It has to be someone that has the correct experience.
