I tried to watch the Olympics but am I the only one that is sick of Beach Volleyball? This makes four nights now that they have shown the same women's duo and I know more about them than all other athletes (except Phelps). I give up and I guess politics is not the only thing NBC can ruin.
What I'm really sick of is the "synchro diving". Ick. Fortunately I think that is over for now.
I am SICK of beach volleyball. THis is an Olympic sport? This is a sport? It is like being at the beach every day — BORING.

I loved watching Natsia trying her darndest not to give dirty looks the lil China girls the other night. And the Russian coach was sneering uncontrollably at the China girls too.
Not the China girls fault for looking 10yrs old and if not 16 the rules got bent and the Judge panal ready to kick the snot out of the Asian official.
Looks like Natasia and her Dad are near tears...feeling cheated.

I finally saw the re-airing of the female gymnastics competition, and the gold-medal winner from China was a little kid.
She was competing with young ladies aged 15-16 years old, and her competition didn't have a prayer. In fact, you can see the frustration and anxiety in the eyes of the teens as they see this enthusiastic and flexible CHILD prancing around on the gym mats.
The Chinese and their cheating techniques are disgusting.
Years and years of training only to see the Chinese b@stards cheat them out of their deserved awards.
Revolting.
She deserves to be. The whole US team has been screwed by the farce games of 2008 by the IOC, FIG, and the cheating Chinese.

I know that's not entirely accurate but it's damn close.
Yes, I am not too happy to have to sit through what seems to be at least an hour of volleyball/filler at the beginning of the evening broadcast and then having the stuff I want to see like the swimming/gymnastics finally get broadcast at 11:00 or so. One night it wasn’t over until around 12:30 in the morning.
And how the hell do you "score" such routines? They all look the same to me. Yet you got people scoring them to hundredths of a decimal point. What I also don't understand is that when somebody "falls off" the apparatus, the announcer gasps (like a little girl) and says what a shame.
If I was a gymnastic, I would just pretend that "falling off" was part of my routine. I would just continue without pausing and make believe that this was what I had been practicing the past 11 years. They would score me all "tens" for sure because I'd be so sure of myself.
Then again, there is no way I could ever get my body to do that kind of stuff. Plus, it's kind of gay. I suppose if you are a girl, it's okay but how do men get in those weird positions? It is really kind of creepy.
And the diving makes no sense whatsoever. How do you score a dive? When I dive, I just hold my nose and fall to the water below, trying to make as big a splash as I can. They should give you MORE points for making a big splash. For this is a manly way to dive. If I'm going to dive, I want to make as big a splash as possible and make all the girls in the front seats wet - just like Shamu the whale (who is cool). Maybe one of the judges will throw me a fish. I like fish.

It has been a farce. When that Chinese KID landed on her knees after the vault and still won??? HellO. That was the last disgusting thing I needed to see in a string of Commie cheating events.
