... Record low maximum temperature set in Denver for August 16th...

The high temperature at Denver International Airport today was 58 degrees.

This 58 degree reading will replace the previous low maximum temperature record for August 16th which was 63 degrees set 118 years ago in 1890.

So much for global warming! Temperature records are constantly set all over the place for maximums and minimums, but when is the last time you heard of a record being beat by FIVE degress? Usually a new record will eclipse an old one by 1-2 degrees, but FIVE?

And in Denver of all places with the democratic convention coming up. Are all of the nuts going to huddle and shiver together in AUGUST to warn us of the impending doom of Global Warming?

Is a blizzard to much to hope for during Obama's outdoor coronation coming up (assuming Hillary hasn't stolen the nomination by then)?

but when is the last time you heard of a record being beat by FIVE degress?

Especially given how much bigger Denver is (in terms of the heat island effect) than it was in 1890. That was some record low.

What if Hitlery steals the nomination? Who’s going to take the heat for outfitting Invesco Field at Mile High for The Messiah’s coronation? The DNC has spent a boat load of bucks outfitting TWO areanas for their show. Setups for network boths, miles of fiber optic cabling, security, and all the other stuff that goes into putting on one of these gigs. And they had to duplicate the effort at Invesco. If The Messiah doesn’t get the nomination, somebody’s head will roll. Hopefully it will be his.

The earliest snow I can recall there was on August 31 about ten years ago. It isn't likely, but not impossible.

Hitlery stealing the nomination would be far and away the best thing that could happen to this nation.

Black voters would stay home in droves, and w/o the black vote in a number of (putatively) 'Rat states -- PA for one -- she'd be crushed.

The 'Rat party would be involved in what amounts to a schism for years.

Which in turn would mean that conservatives could tell the lime-green slacks country-club Republicans, particularly in the East, to go and piss up a rope w/o having to worry about electing one or another Marxist/Fascist candidate.

Denver's Winter/Cold Season Statistics

For some reason, NOAA has lost enthusiasm for keeping the numbers updated since 2006. And maybe they "overlooked" the snow 10 years ago (Vince, if you have any proof, it would be yet another chance to prove a government lie). The current official record first snow (Sept 3) is not far outside the convention dates.

The environmental pope has ordered hot weather for the rat convention. He has decreed that the snow in the mountains must melt and the sun must shine for the chosen one. The pope and chosen one are punishing us for recent polls suggesting that rats may not dominate in November. First we had a new record for consecutive days at 90 or above. Now we have a record cold snap. The DNC is our chance for salvation.

Oh, it would be glorious. A snowstorm during the Democratic Convention would be like the best Christmas morning of your childhood.

I want to be the first one to predict that if this happens, Andrea Mitchell will announce speculation that it was a Republican plot, and that we will see actual stories on CNN and the networks investigating if such a thing were possible.
