9's are fine. The weight of a 1911, even in the lightweights is not easy to conceal in 100 degree weather.

I think the fact you are even THINKING of cross-dressing should really be kept to yourself.:)

LOL. I tend to prefer .45 (Colt or ACP) but there's no question that since the popularity of the 9x19 zoomed back in the 80's, that cartridge has improved exponentially. Modern Hydra-Shok's and Gold Dots would definately leave a welt. The only thing that really bothers me about the 9mm isn't the round, but the way high-cap 9mm's seem to foster undisciplined shooting.

All said, most of the time my CCW piece is a J-frame S&W.

Funny, that's what Harley snobs say about people who ride Gold Wings.

In my briefcase is a 9mm Beretta which is light. It is not as powerful as my 19ll, but it doesn't cause my briefcase to sag like it has a bowling ball in it. The 9 also kills just as dead as the .45.
