Elizabeth Hasselback?
OK, change the channel then.
We’ll be here when you get out of the shower
Whoppi, on the other hand, is much more balanced. There are a few issues (Obama is one) where she cannot think straight at all, but for the most part Whoopi is willing to engage in something like a normal conversation. Elizabeth seems more than willing to stand up for what she believes when the fight is fair.
She's not Ann Coulter, but I'm happy to have her on our side.
Barbara, by the way, also doesn't fight fair. She owns the show. People are on the show because Barbara allows them to be on the show. She won't shout Elizabeth down (the way Rosie did), but you cannot debate Barbara. She won't allow it. I've seen Elizabeth have a good, spirited discussion with Joy, Whoppi and Sherry -- and when Barbara speaks up and tells Elizabeth she's wrong, it all comes crashing down. No rebuttal. No "May I make my point?". The Queen can put Elizabeth down with a single word.
Now that's a vision of Liberal society.
Clearly, more evidence is required.
I thought it was so funny that Rosie left the View after the big argument with Elizabeth. She was scheduled to leave anyway, but decided to leave the show early. It was nice to see Rosie with her tail between her legs running away from the discussion. Rosie and her ilk “debate” and “discuss” by shouting people down and name-calling.
It’s ironic, I think, that Elizabeth Hasselback recieved attention initially because of the reality TV show “Survivor”. Of course, marrying an up and coming NFL quarterback didn’t hurt her fame, but she has done a very admirable job as the token Conservative on “The View”.

No, that’s what it’s like to work for a boss who accepts no backtalk. We’ve all worked for one, I’m sure, in our lifetimes, and they come in all political flavors.
JMO.
Wow. That’s like...wow.
The most attractive woman on television... IMHO.
Of course the token conservative is a "BLONDE".. a subtle innuendo if I ever saw one.. A Stealth put down.. Not to speak of the fact Elizabeth can barely argue her way out of a paper bag..
I just find it a little more grating when the other person is a Liberal (like Barbara Walters).
Is she in favor of diversity? Yes. In favor of tolerance? Yes. In favor of Free Speech? Yes.
And if your opinion diverges from hers? You're fired!
Does she have to tolerate your opinion? Absolutely not!
Can you speak your mind? Not if you want to stick around!
Liberals are very hypocritical on these issues. Especially on diversity and tolerance. But, yes, as you point out -- plenty of conservatives pay lip-service to these values but end up acting like jerks.
Not a single woman on that show can put together a decent logical argument. It’s not just Hasselback.
