08/08/08What a cosmic date! What is the significance of 8/8/8 as applied to conspiratorial 2012 Armageddon. It's got to be something bad right? The new moon falls on August 8, 2008 and it's the beginning of the Olympics in Peking (year of the RAT). Anyone making plans to dig in?

TOPICS: Conspiracy; Humor

The Original Electric Latin Love Machine (#13 on that list) has some surreal but fascinating takes on pop classics. If you can find a copy, check out their version of “Peanuts” and “Windmills of Your Mind”

Ma'am, I'm afraid we're going to need some details, please.

I know it’s the silly thread, but for the record, the New Moon was 8/1 (there was a solar eclipse that day, too).
Overheard at a local donut shop:
#1: I am happy that NYC has embraced Brett favre. I am a viking fan from minn. but always admired Favre. I’’d dress up as a Viking and go to games but would cheer for Favre.
#2: Well, here in NYC we welcome people from everywhere and you can show your manlove for Favre without fear.
#3: Funny, NYC is also a place where people dress up like Favres and show manlove for vikings.
