There was a FReeper named "Jaysun" back in 2007 and early in 2008, who announced in February of this year that he had contracted some kind of cancer, and that the prognosis was NOT good. He received an outpouring of sympathy in that thread, from me also, who had "talked" to him in personal "FR mail" over some subject of other. His FR profile showed him posed with his new infant daughter. So it was ever so much more touching and hard to bear to hear and read him talking about not being long for this world. He made a big point of realistically assessing his chances for being around much longer, and I had to personally e mail him with words as positive as I could manage. I was thinking about him recently and went back to Feb. to find the private FR mail to me. I clicked on his name and it came up "The account has been banned or suspended". Does ANYONE know what happened to "Jaysun"?
Dasher IS very much real. I met her myself on several occasions. She simply marches to a different drummer, and that didn't sit too well with the mods.
Among the nicest ladies I have ever met anywhere.
But for a while there, simply mentioning her name was cause for a time out of FR. I'm glad that most of the metamucil crowd has been retired.
I put her name in the address line of a post and it seemed to go through. We’ll see if she’s back.
Also - any idea where Senator Pardek went? He used to post frequently.

CGEB (of rainbowbrite postings) had a home page that show ‘her’ as a young, very pretty blonde...her ‘posts’ were uber conservative (not at in keeping w/her age, demographic; or speech pattern of a twentysomething.) This was pointed out by (surprise!) female FReepers...(and much disagreed w/because so many guys ‘wanted’ her to be perfect) but it turned out she was a he (prob posting from his mom’s basement near Cleveland). And yes, women can spot a non-female being uberfemale a mile away. Even on the net. Even on dial up.
Senator Pardek may no longer be with us.
Her Freeper screen name was a joke related to some other forum prior to her appearance on FR.
I think it was HLL who figured it all out about the ‘classy one’. And then after that she (HLL) was gone too...
Willie’s not around; I think he got slammed in the idiotic purges that gripped the management back when Rudy and the gang of pretenders to the McCainiac’s throne got into some severe arguments. Seems we’ve lost a lot of older, connected freepers all because someone got their feelings hurt. Bunch of RINO wannabies!
Actually, I remember the Guild. I think alot of real FRiendships were formed on that ongoing thread. I read sporadically and enjoyed their bantering (I wasn’t really around enough to join in).

The ‘Rudy’ threads were by far the most caustic I have seen here. Alot either were banned or just left. It was ugly...

I agree, Mom, which is why I stayed out of them. Besides, I didn’t much care for the little socialist! Oh, he did do some good things and I submit there was no one that could have held the City together as well as he did, but his RINO proclivities were the main reason he got the support he did across the political spectrum.
Does that make him a good choice for the White House? Not in my book. Like I mentioned to Randy, seems too many here went on feelings instead of intellect. Sad indeed.

On another thread I was recently on, a fellow FReeper said there should be a ‘conservative scale’ (I’m an 81 what are you?) so you could know where the other ‘conservative’ stands (this because I was called a ‘moderate.’) Anyhow...I just thought there should be ‘I survived the Rudy/TerriSchiavo/ElianGonzales threads on FR’ t-shirst for those who weren’t banned; suspended or just left in a huff...
Does anyone here remember Freetrapper from Oklahoma? He was always on the fishing threads and hunting. He just stopped posting one day, never heard from again. I asked the mods if they would email him but they said no. I miss that guy too.
