On another thread I was recently on, a fellow FReeper said there should be a ‘conservative scale’ (I’m an 81 what are you?) so you could know where the other ‘conservative’ stands (this because I was called a ‘moderate.’) Anyhow...I just thought there should be ‘I survived the Rudy/TerriSchiavo/ElianGonzales threads on FR’ t-shirst for those who weren’t banned; suspended or just left in a huff...
Well, I guess I’m a conservative in the same mold as President Reagan; started off as a Democrat and realised they were running us pell-mell into straight socialism, and so looked at all the rest before deciding that I’m a Moderate/Independant/Constitutionalist — hence my tagline. I guess I fit between the (small l)libertarian-Conservative, which doesn’t really put me in the Republican group, as I fear they are headed down the same socialist path, albeit at a slower rate. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still evil, and I do wonder and worry about what our grandkids will say when they get to be 65.
