I seriously want to know if Duncan Hunter, Sr. would be more than willing to serve somewhere in a McCain administration, and how can Duncan Hunter, Sr. seriously and successfully make John McCain agree with Hunter on the illegal immigration issue as well as agree with Hunter on many other issues?

Furthermore, he'd be a natural to step up to the top spot in 2012.

Duncan Hunter says that we need energy independence to be free. We buy from Chavez and he uses American dollars to buy weapons from Russia.

Hunter says under Obama you’d need your great grandparenst during a full eclipse to get an offshore drilling permit.

Hunter says because House is out of session that allows real Americans to be allowed on the floor and sit next to a Conservative and get real answers to questions. He thinks this week has been great.

Hunter says when OPEC tightened the spigot, we were getting oil out of shale. When Opec saw that, they opened the spigot back up. Opec wants to keep us dependent.

The hard left really wants gas at $10 because they want us to park our cars to save the planet. They don't have to drive 20 miles to get to a kids basketball game.

Can't fill gas tank on wind, whether it's from a windmill or a Democrat.

Mr. Hunter probably would decide not to respond to this right now, but here is a very real concern.

There are many principled persons who are at FR and elsewhere dead-set against voting for John McCain—and in fact planning to vote for Mr. Hunter by write-in. There are other dark-horse candidates as well.

The risk of splitting the ticket and handing the plurality to the Democrats is extreme.

Some would say this enormous moral bind has been set up deliberately.

Preserving American sovereignty has not been a real strong campaign plank for either Mr. McCain or Mr. Obama.

Just an observation with Mr. Hunter’s comments—as with his moral courage—always welcome.

I believe picking the lesser of 2 evils is necessary. Obama would be a disaster. America would never be the same. We still suffer from Clintons damage. (vetoed ‘95 ANWR drilling bill for one)

I agree with what you have stated. I also believe we MUST concentrate on Congress, contribute to conservative candidates wherever in the country they are running, and do everything possible to take back Congress, and yes probably have to vote for McCain. In fact, that is WHY we must take back Congress, no matter who wins the White House, that way Neither Obama nor McCain can get much of anything conservatives do not approve of, passed.

I adore Congressman Hunter, he is a true patriot. a her, and a Great American! I hope he does get a place in the administration, or that he runs for Gov. of CA! I also pray his son wins!
