Hi everyone interested - I am Dutch and hence I don't know anything on this Pelosi woman, other than that she's the stepmother of a well-known Dutch journalist. Can you tell me in brief why she's not erm... that popular around here? Please don't misconstrue, it's a serious question. I can give most important U.S. politicians a place by now, but she escapes me still in this respect.
If you love socialism and are a fan of the old USSR, you’ll love Pelosi. Socialism ALWAYS comes with a government that demands more and more of your freedoms while taking more and more of your hard earned money.

PS: we do have a couple politicians in Holland who are stupid in a comparable fashion. One of these made a considerable achievement: she got elected as MP, is never, but really never present in meetings, but always there in the media to advocate her ‘mission’; she avidly collects her monthly payment as an MP though; she gets fundings from people who are known criminals; and she gets away with it all.
She egages in rogue diplomacy even though unqualified to do so and kisses Syrian butt.

As to her "open" House policy, last friday, when she saw Republicans were going to speak on drilling in our own country, she shut down the House early, shut down the mics, lights and cameras which is an unprecedented thing.
