Questions I need answered please.

My son is driving home from Oklahoma. Once in Dallas he’ll change over to i-45. From there he’ll turn onto 45 and 1960 going east. Next turn will be Cypresswood.

His subdivision doesn’t flood but I’m concerned about the freeways and streets leading into his destination. Anyone know if flooding is happening on the streets already mentioned or whether the forecast might be showing flooding which would keep him stranded and from reaching his house.

Need to hear back pretty quickly as he’s supposed to leave within an hour or so and that would put him in the area in 5.5. hrs - 7 hours or so.

Anyhow what they’re forecasting for surrounding areas? Thanks in advance.

I also am having some medical issues to where if he could take some personal time, that would help a lot but that’s not really my over-riding concern. I’m more worried he might get stuck in between here and there.

Thanks for your help!

Sally

Eastforker, please page ncwtx, I must have his name misspelled and my post won’t go through. Help!!!

3:35 pm here in LaPorte and pretty much a nonevent. Lots of rain (we needed), some tree branches down, but as near as we could tell no damage to speak of.

We never lost power and now the sun is out and a tad of wind.

Thank you again for all that you do in keeping these events updated. See you next time.

Current radar looks like there are some healthy and slow-moving T-storms around San Antonio and stretching down to around Corpus, so this storm may give some rain to the areas that need it most.

Slightly north of Corpus and we are getting hammered.

Had more rain in the last 20 minutes than all of Dolly!

Well, that was the lamest excuse for a storm ever!

I’m in the Galleria area, and the freakin’ sun is shining.

Hopefully just with rain. Was at DCS this past week, the grass was an ugly brown & the lake was down several feet.

Don’t know how much of it made it over but I’m sure some did.

It is breaking up now as it moves further south and what’s left of it, is shifting over to the west.

We must have had a little wind. Garbage can lids were in the front yard and the flag turned sideways, but that’s all.

Glad to hear everyone is ok and getting the rain needed. Seems like we have a storm brewing between Huntsville and the USSC now :’(

It died just as it was approaching Killeen. Not one drop. We are really dry up here.

The second to the last day of my daughter’s school year, we had a grass fire come straight for the school. They had to evacuate just over 1000 kids. Fire fighters stopped it but lost 2-3 of their vehicles doing it. It is just dangerously dry and has been for some time.

We got the winds. Everything in the back yard was being tossed around. Looked like we were going to get the storm but the sun went down and the thing just blew apart.
