Hi Lori, I dearly love that little darling phoebe. Hope it builds around you there. Then we can get our reports on the babies, etc. LOL~~~
Oh my Dear, you’re an artist. I only play at it and can’t draw much more than a lick.
I use Poser 6 and Vue 6 for software. They are both 3D programs. They are lots of fun, and great for non-artists like me. I had two brothers that were artists and my Mom too, but unfortunately it didn’t fall into my lap. I just love to create....anything. It’s my therapy.
Grannie, I use a non-stick pan and they still stick. I have thought about leaving out the sugar - as I’m pretty sure that is what makes them stick - but never tried it. The first ones are the hardest to get off - after that, they are a bit easier.
I have looked for years for a recipe that makes cornbread like Marie Callendar’s. I just love their’s with the orange butter. Any ideas?
I’m uploading “I’d be the First to Fall in Love” - will post link after dinner. It’s really pretty. :)
You OESY’s wife and Grannie all have talent that the rest of us could only imagine having.
Don’t forget our Mama_Bear!!!
I hope so too. But, when my two dogs came charging out of the house and spotted the feathered interloper it flew off. He may not come back. I wish they wouldn't chase the birds away, but I don't know how to stop them. The jays just ignore them, which frustrates the dogs to no end. LOL.
Awww.......thank you, jaycee. But I am not an artist. I just play around in photoshop, is all. I sure do appreciate the mention though. :-)
You have to be an artist to do what you do. I want to make that perfectly clear...LOL~~My fingernails are just polished and I can’t type....help!
I do too. We don't have a lot of different varieties around here, so I am always happy to be able to identify a new bird in the neighborhood.
The jay is called a Mexican Scrub Jay. They are similar to the Florida Scrub Jay, but are found here in the west. My two jays are a mated pair and very tame. They will take peanuts out of my hand. They nested in the backyard this spring and I loved watching them take care of their babies. I am very attached to my jays, although they really are very mean birds - nest robbers and bullies in the neighborhood....but I love mine anyway. I've been feeding this pair for years here. I can't go out in the backyard without them following me around demanding their peanuts.
I had never heard of them either until I looked it up in my bird book. Then I went on the internet and googled "black phoebe" and sure enough, that is the bird that was in my backyard.
Kitty Mittens, haven't you mentioned having some kind of "Phoebes" in your area?
DANG! I knew I would not post someone (everyone)! YES!
Mama_Bear is a true artist - I have never seen graphics and bird close-ups like hers -
and then you, JC, framing pictures, bringing us with every - post, smiles and beauty,
Kitty Mittens, finds the best graphics, and even ads names!
And, Meg’s glorious pictures - birds, flowers, raccoons, nature; all pictures to look forward to!
Then, there is Amy! Wow! Some of her posts (all) are incredibly beautiful and fun!
And one of the MAJOR graphic gif awards goes to Potlatch - the best animation!
And we can’t forget Luv W’s music - right along with topics!
And the PowerPoint Presentations that Cardi brings us (almost ever day), are almost always showing us beauty we never knew existed!
Oh, and the Mayor’s wonderful verses every morning - wow!
And, then I cannot forget the one who brings graphics, images and clips that make me laugh every day - OESY!
Now - who else am I forgetting, my friend? (There are so many wonderful posters, here!) HELP!
If someone here is being left-out here, it is not because you are not appreciated - it is because my mind is old.
Wish I’da thunk of that~~LOL~~
Lets don’t forget Yorkie who post so many categories of everything....just exactly like she just posted. Love her graphics and recipes and poems and, and, and, I could go on and on. This is a mutual admiration society group if you ask me and best of all we all have good manners. And I just love each and everone here.....so there!
Thanks for the mention, friend. I am honored to be mentioned along side so many talented people. *blush*
Oh, hush. LOL. :-)
