Billie, you really outdid yourself this morning with the lovely opening of our “Wear Red Fridays”. Looks so patriotic! And our celebrations for today sound so good. Watermelon, peahes, yum and the balloons are so lovely with their reflections. Did you work all night, dear?

I have some catching up to do in the house but I’ll check my computer very often, between chores~~LOL~~

Thanks for your cheeriness at Amy’s.

Morning, Luvbo! Red is certainly your color. :) I wear a lot of red, too.

You could say I wear a lot of other colors, too. :)

Morning, jaycee. Actually the opening was mostly copied from the Finest' Friday postings - I just made a separate heading for Amy's Place. It was the other holidays that took so much longer to put together for today (there were so many dang STATE HOLIDAYS!)

One would think that Georgia would be the one having a Peach Festival, not Massachusetts!

I was cleaning out my picture file, and came accross these pictures I took from my kitchen window, a couple years ago. I was standing there, doing dishes, felt 'someone' looking at me. I looked up - and sure 'nuf - I had company. (The 'socks' hanging above the bird bath, are full of thistle seed for the 200+ gold finches that feed here every day.)

Look! The bar is open!

Now, this is a good drink!

Are you sure it's safe?

If you don't hurry, I'm going to drink it all!

Not me. :) I'm not quite *that* colorful - or that young. :) I think she's probably some teenager in some Disney-type TV show or movie, but don't really know for sure.

Awwwwwwww...wish they had shown up the morning that we
were there! We did see lots of sweet birdies, though!

....and had LOTS of wonderful, lovingly-prepared food!

(((hugs)))

Such wonderful pictures, yorkie! I had heard you talk about your thistle socks not too long ago. Thank you so much for posting your beautiful pictures. And you told me you didn’t know much about digital cameras??? You’ve been keeping secrets from us!

The only reason I asked was that you said “I wear a lot of red” and “I wear a lot of other colors”. Sooooooo, I took it literally! I was born on April Fools Day, ya know, and you can pull jokes on me.

Well, I did the < center > thing - but it didn’t quite work. LOL! Next, I will share some pictures of the wild pigs (javelina) in my yard, taken from my kitchen window.

Yes, you did look out that window Luv! I used to feed the coyotes all my left overs. Every evening, I would go out into the yard, and whistle. About 12 coyotes would appear, as soon as they heard the ‘dinner bell’. But, when I saw one of them eyeing my little furry kid, and licking his chops, the Kitchen closed - permanently! (Same with the javelina - I would feed them chicken scratch - but they got greedy - and the boar tried to bust into my enclosed porch. Kitchen closed for them, too!)

Besides, it is now against the law to feed the wildlife.

Relaxation

The ocean sounds so calm
as we walk along the water.

The waves lap at our feet as
we dance together through the sand.

You smile at me and grab my hand
as we start to run.

We wrestle in the soft sand letting it
flow through our fingers.

We lay down and let the sand cascade
slowly over our bodies.

You lean in to kiss me ever so softly,
holding each other so close.

We relax as the ocean waves go in and out,
watching the sunset as we become as one.

Oh, yorkie..Your pictures are terrific..I love critters.
I don’t have deer or goldfinches visit here. Having so many goldfinches so close must be quite a sight!

My favorite raccoon finally came last night after a 3 day absence. My critter visits have slacked off.

Your wonderful pictures remind me of when I put out salt licks for our deer ... at the same time my wife was squirting deer repellent around her garden. You should have seen how schizophrenic the deer on our hill became.
