MEG, that link is so neat!!
I have also been watching as much Olympics as possible and enjoying all the U.S.A. victories!! Last night’s women’s diving was breath-taking... the Chinese were no doubt the best, with the Aussies a true close second. I’m not sure how Mexico finished so high, but never mind,, heh-heh.
I love seeing our women smash the Cubans in volleyball. Our men swimmers are the best. I did miss gymnastics, understand that was quite melodramatic.
Anyway, the feeling of national pride is like nothing else, seeing our best compete for our nation’s glory not just their own.
Aside from that, please know I think about my FRiends every day even though I am here only once or twice a week and actually have to run off again. Please realize the message is for all, as surely I missed some names on the pinger.
HUGS!!!!
Forgive me fellow blondes ...
A plane is on its way to Toronto, when a blonde in economy class gets up, and moves to the first class section and sits down.
The flight attendant watches her do this, and asks to see her ticket. She then tells the blonde that she paid for economy class, and that she will have to sit in the back. The blonde replies, ‘I’m blonde, I’m beautiful, I’m going to Toronto and I’m staying right here.’
The flight attendant goes into the cockpit and tells the pilot and the co-pilot that there is a blonde bimbo sitting in first class, who belongs in economy, and won’t move back to her seat. The co-pilot goes back to the blonde and tries to explain that because she only paid for economy she will have to leave and return to her seat. The blonde replies, ‘I’m blonde, I’m beautiful, I’m going to Toront o! And I’m staying right here.’
The co-pilot tells the pilot that he probably should have the police waiting when they land to arrest this blonde woman who won’t listen to reason. The pilot says, ‘You say she is a blonde? I’ll handle this, I’m married to a blonde. I speak blonde.’ He goes back to the blonde and whispers in her ear, and she says, ‘Oh, I’m sorry’ and gets up and goes back to her seat in economy. The flight attendant and co-pilot are amazed and asked him what he said to make her move without any fuss.
‘I told her, ‘First class isn’t going to Toronto.’
I just used Billie’s table threads and copied what she did, changing backgrounds, widths, adding and subtracting frames, collected backgrounds and experimented..
I studied a look I liked..got some tips from Billie about putting text inside a table and then later learned how to put text on a picture..I found that on the internet on some helpful site.(I mean regular text I type)
I made many mistakes...still do but usually no one sees them...Some of my mistakes turned out better than what I was aiming for..LOL
I save my framed graphics to a notepad. I don’t reinvent the wheel...I reuse frames all the time..just adjusting them as needed. Copy and paste in preview, put in a new graphic, put in new width numbers, look for the right background and change it up.
I think my best frames were patriotic at first.
Funniest thing I’ve heard on we blondes! I love blonde jokes because frankly I’m not legally blonde. I am bottle blonde.
Great to see you, Dita. I am running out a few minutes.
*HUGS* Glad you liked it!
;o)
Here is a collage of the place where we stayed in Salem (right across the street from the House of the Seven Gables), called the Morning Glory Bed and Breakfast. It was originally an early 1800's house that has been turned into a four guest room B&B. We enjoyed both places so much more than had we stayed in a cold, impersonal hotel. Both had private entrances so we could come and go as we wished, and the proprietors made sure that every possible comfort was provided. I did a lot of research ahead of time on TripAdvisor.com and found places that had rave reviews from past guests. Can't hardly go wrong when there is one five star review after another. :-)
I felt sorry for our big boo boo maker, too..
I am envious of your rain.
;o)
I am thoroughly enjoying the Olympics.. awesome
but what is left for Michael Phelps.. all he has know since being a boy was competitive swimming
a Brett Favre of the water..?
You have the happiest looking dogs I've ever seen. Looks to me like they are laughing!
Hugs backatcha, Dita!
Billie, the Frame you Put on the Pic of the Baby in #1182 is just Stunning! I still Hope to Learn the Harder Things, but after Trying to Figure Out how to Add Glitter to Pics Recently, my Eyes Glazed Over, Lol, because it just Seemed So Difficult to Learn.
You are All So Kind, my Dear FRiends, and I'm Thankful for your FRiendship!
How very charming..and you had water views both places..I cannot imagine a better place to stay!
Thank you for posting these!

Picture It is a layered program also. I have photoshop but frankly find it hard to use. Wish I lived close enough to take Jeff’s class!
I thoroughly enjoyed your email accounts of the time in NE. awesome

Nan wants me to wait until after the 17th to post photos of our vacation in WV. Then she will be able to be on the thread and can participate too. I will ping you. :-)
