Okay,I'll admit we did use the rolling paper from the Big Bamboo album. Couldn't keep the darn thing lit. Cheech & Chong were borderline funny during the 1970s and that was after a couple of bongs. Good luck with this tour.

Sadly, no; the SOB lied. But then again, my Physics degree didn't end up being all that useful either -- I ended up designing spacecraft electronics, which I taught myself. Surprisingly, all that technical background didn't inhibit my ability to drive a pickup, nor did it stop me from liking country music. ;-)

Out of nowhere, I've been getting into bluegrass (listening not smoking). Those guys are very talented musicians.

It's great stuff.

I'm a blues/rock guitarist, and tried for years to wrap my mind (and fingers) around the banjo, with very limited success. Had slightly better luck with pedal steel; maybe after I retire someday I'll try to play some bluegrass. But I'm in awe of the guys who do -- good bluegrass is crazy good fun, but hard to do right.

As you say, it's probably better to listen to it than smoke it.

Finally, entertainment for the super successful, highly motivated, not stupid at all, FR potheads.

Serious question, what kind of music do you enjoy? I'm guessing you're really into like James Taylor or Flock Of Seagulls or something.

I’ll see your brushes with greatness and raise you one. Sgt. Slaughter sat in the booth behind me at an Italian restaurant this past New Year’s Eve.

I felt they were hilarious in their comedy which basically made fun of pot heads. Cheech eventually went on to do some pretty decent acting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheech_and_Chong#Solo_Careers

I wonder if Sergeant Stedenko will make a cameo.

I was on an episode of Sex in the City, which connects me to Kevin Bacon via Sarah Jessica Parket. Have served coffee in my younger years to Lou Reed, Francis Ford Coppola, Elvis Costello, Holly Hunter, and Matthew Broderick. Met Peter Gabriel on the 7 train. Rode the red line in the Chicago Loop with Joel Grey. Have sat at the bar with Randy Newman and Ace Frehley.

Don't get me started on prominent politicians, I've met more of them then I cared to...

When the godfather of bluegrass, Bill Monroe, was told that he was a major influence on Elvis Presley, Bill replied “where did I go wrong?”

My Turn ! My Turn !

I Broke Bill Engvalls arm.

He was in first grade and the house behind mine had a zip line that went across their backyard.
Bill was on the tower waiting for me to bring the trolley back up to him after my ride and when I slung it back up the cable he grabbed for it, missed, fell off the tower and broke his arm (left one if I remember correctly)

I wrote him an e-mail a while back and while he didn’t remember me by name he definately remembered me by the broken arm part.

If I woulda just stayed in touch after he moved back to Arizona I coulda been Larry The Cable Guy or something.
ahh well

I was going to ask Sgt. Slaughter to put me in the Cobra Clutch and get me wife to take a picture, but he appeared to be having dinner with a married couple. They were talking about setting him up with someone.

Personally, if I have to see any more of those Bill Engvall commercials on TBS, I’d like to break his arm, too.
