I didn’t really think they were that funny even when they were contemporary. Now...I can’t imagine their act being anything but painfully dated. But I’ll keep an open mind.

I didnt really think they were that funny even when they were contemporaryHave you seen the new Gong Show? It is REALLY sad. The original was horrible, but stoners giggled at it anyway. Cheec Marin's career must have really hit rock bottom. Tommy Chong never had a career.

I once spent the night in Chong's daughter's beach house. No, she wasn't there.
Ok, pretty boring story, but I'll bet it's more entertaining than this tour.

The other day, our local Country Radio station, which does a 5-minute comedy slot at 9AM weekdays, featured the original "Sister Mary Elephant" sketch. I was driving my pickup through town, cracking up, and pulled up at a light alongside another pickup, and the other driver and I realized we both were listening to it at the same time.... we laughed so hard we almost missed the green.
Who'd-a ever guessed C&C would be on Country Radio?

I hope getting your GED was as rewarding as your parole officer said it would be.

I actually saw them live in the 70’s. The show was disappointing. It was dull, unfunny and short. Kind of felt ripped off. They’re much funnier on their recordings than they are live.

I find your story interesting and would like to hear more.
Johnny Cochran once walked past me and my dad once chatted with Mr. T. And my mom briefly met JFK Jr. And one of my brother’s professors was the uncle of some jerk on Saturday Night Live.

LOL! But I think you’re lying. Everyone knows Mr. T doesn’t chat - he pities the fool.
To: TheWasteLand
I’m not lying, my dad might be though!
He says it was by a pool in Vegas and he mistook my father for “a producer or something” due to his lack of reaction at seeing him. (this was during the height of his A-team popularity).

That’s actually a pretty cool story. So did T wear the gold chains when he swam? Seems like a health hazard to me.
To: TheWasteLand
Heh. Pop didn’t mention any swimming, just that they sat and smoked cigars. Man I don’t even remember how old I was when he told me the story. 10-15 probably.

I once used a stairmaster after Ed Marinaro. I asked him if he was all set with it. He said yes.
Very cool.
