Been to enough of these "fashion shows" by the socialists in the SF Bay Area to know exactly what I'm talking about. It's socialists playing at "who has the better clothes, the better slogan."
It's like a huge masquerade ball, and with each marcher hoping they'll get the coveted "Uber Lefty" award; that someone will notice them in the crowd, single them out as being the most uber "lefty".
You'd have to be from there, to really understand what goes on at these protests. Nah, I'm not recommending anyone "go there to see that"; but it's this weirdness psychology of the left which is MORE at play in these protests, than the danged thing everyone is saying they are protesting.
I'm glad the President knows this too.
The guy dragging the American flag on the ground needs a real lesson in respect. A real good beating would just be a start.
I was living in SF when my ex told me that she needed her own space (as I found out a year and a half later, it was to share with the husband of mutual friends) What a favor she did me.
I despise the place and almost everyone in it. Nice weather and some good restaurants, but politically and sociologically, pure treason and hate.

San Francisco really IS different than Peoria.People make choices all the time; like, whether to march is a dress-up parade, or go to work.
Obviously, these marchers are on "parade" sabbatical, probably receiving some kind of "taxpayer assistance" in order to do gravy-train visual assistance for their politicians.
