Fears are growing for the health of Barry Manilow in light of the singers recent drastic weight loss.
According to US magazine Globe, the Copacabana crooner has dropped to around seven stone a dangerously unhealthy weight for his six foot frame.
The 65-year-old singer, who has a residency in Las Vegas, is not known to be ill but has shocked fans and friends with his increasingly gaunt appearance.
Although he may not have any current health problems Manilow's new skinny frame is a cause for concern.
The singer was spotted in LA where he was enjoying a shopping trip with a friend.
His clothes were hanging very loosely off his body in comparison to his male companion.

Is he a homosexual? Just wondering if maybe he does have HIV or AIDS.
That’s what I was thinking too. I don’t think Barry’s going to be with us much longer.
I don’t know. Did he? I never pay attention to that dreadful show.
He does look ill.
Did you know he wrote the Band-Aid jingle “Stuck on Me?” And the State Farm “like a good neighbor...” one.
Apparently he has been given credit for a ton of them that he didn’t write over the years, but those two are pretty stellar.
7 stones translates to 98 pounds. At 6’ tall, that would give him a BMI of 13.3

Yes, he refuses to have anything to do with Conservatives except take their money.
I always thought he was a strange looking man. Nice music though.
He’s a talented singer who can make people dance happily over a sad song about a lonely disturbed former show girl who lost her boyfriend in her young age...
He’s got the High Five? (HI-V)
I have no idea if the drugs lose their potency after a while, or even if he has AIDs. It is just the first thing that popped into my head when I saw his picture.
Maybe he took Obama’s admonishment to heart, and stopped eating as much as he wanted.
Usually uncontrolled Type II diabetes will not cause cachexia this massive. Weight loss of 25-40 lbs in obese individuals is not uncommon. Type I diabetes almost never begins at his age, either.
Who’s the latest Rico?
"Sweet Melvin, er, Melissa, angel of my lifetime."
His most successful jingle was “you deserve a break today” for McDonalds. Made him more in royalties than “Mandy.”
Al Franken’s on the list. lol.
