McCains X wife was with friends of mine recently at a cocktail party, as she is one of their neighbors. She totally sings his praises. She told them that she asked for a divorce due to her medical condition (private), that caused her disability. She continues to be in close touch with him and he continues to watch over her. They have a great relationship.
yea...right
suuuurrrre!
So????
Yeah, I know if I was disabled and waited the whole time for my husband to come back from being a POW - I would INSIST that he divorce me & marry a rich heiress!
I’ve heard/read that somewhere too.
She holds no hard feelings, and they are still close.
LOL--and a slender blonde 17 years younger than I...nothing but the best for John...
McCain did the smart thing by looking after Carol financially, finding her good jobs, etc.
This is not totally unheard of. I know a rich man and woman. When she came down with debilitating RA of the type that made her bedridden she asked her husband for a divorce. She wanted him to have a life. He did remarry and they stayed very close as did the entire family. She was cared for at home by a loving family. Some people love someone so much they want what is best for them and their happiness. She was one of those types.
Whoa! You hit a few pot holes there FRiend.
I for one am glad to read what you just posted. If the others choose to not believe it, then that’s their problem.
~</;o)
There was a story posted here that said the same thing. She’s a big supporter of his and sings his praises. i was really astonished at her attitude because it was diametrically opposed to what I was led to believe was her position.
I’m not a big McCain supporter and I don’t know Grakum, but I’ve heard the same thing from other media sources. I also don’t excuse what he did, though I haven’t walked a mile in his shoes.
Dole’s story was worse I thought.
“When she came down with debilitating RA of the type that made her bedridden she asked her husband for a divorce. She wanted him to have a life. He did remarry and they stayed very close as did the entire family.”
How selfless of her.
How selfish of him.
If my husband was to become disabled, no amount of selflessness on his part could bring me to that level of selfishness on my part.
Yes, there is a lot of truth in what you say. But if the situation were reversed, and my husband was the disabled one begging me to divorce him so I could "have a life" - I would vehemently say that I would have no life without him - because my love for him would transcend all disabilities and problems. I would NEVER divorce him so that I could selfishly 'get on with my life'. It is unthinkable to me!
So? She's suffers from extreme self-abasement. Nothing more, nothing less.
whatever
LOL!
I love your tagline!
I went to college in the early 1980’s with McCain’s oldest son, a really great guy who is working as hard as he can to help his father get elected.
I heard the same thing about Newt’s first wife, and his other wives too. /s/
¡Hola, Juan!
