Peter McDonald, American Library Association [ALA] Councilor and Dean of Library Services at Fresno State, has publicly defamed American troops with known false misinformation, but you be the judge. In an open letter to the ALA Council, Mr. McDonald said:
"Where's Mr. Kent's outrage on this travesty where, if we're talking library-related, the prisoners' Korans have been routinely desecrated by soldiers and where they have NO freedom to read?"

What can be done when something like this happens?
I ask you to read his exact comments at my linked blog (American Troops Defamed by ALA Councilor Peter McDonald), and the comments too, and tell me your thoughts or post them right there. Was were defamation? Were our great American military members defamed? Are there other injustices I may not have noticed? What can be done when people defame our military? Is there an organization that may be interested in pursuing this issue further?
Thank you all for your help.
Thanks for posting. God bless our troops.
Exactly. Thank you. You should read how this guy, this representative of the ALA and Fresno State, responded to my calling into question his own statement. Actually, I thought he might retract a little, saying he may have been too hasty. No, it was the exact opposite. So I’m wondering if someone would be interested in this. Are people supposed to disparage American troops and nothing happens as a result?
Please read this thread about a possible defamation of American troops by a member of the American Library Association council and Dean at Fresno State. Then tell me what you think.
This guy needs an education.
bttt
If this is all true, then Fresno State should fire him.
On what grounds? Defamation? Violation of his own Code of Conduct? Does that code apply in this instance? Defamation of my character saying I “will destroy anything” and am “happy to destroy lives”? On what grounds do you think Fresno State should fire him? I’m am not prepared to go that far. However, I am not an expert in California legal or educational practice. So I’m curious.
In response to that picture you posted, sometimes the funniest things on FreeRepublic are the funny pictures people post and the things they say. That said, I am sure that is not a picture of the ALA guy defaming our troops.
