The last gardens I saw were on the Oregon coast, just north of Coos Bay.You;re thinking of Shore Acres.
Beautiful place.
Been there a few times, myself.
They've a really nice (enclosed, warm) lookout near the cliffs, with big windows where you can stand and watch the breakers coming in from the sea. When the surf's up, as when there's a storm tide, a stroll along the top of those cliffs will get you soaked in salt spray.
If you're ever in the vicinity around Christmastime, make it apoint to stop in; the lights they set up around the gardens are amazing, and they always serve hot cocoa, cider, and cookies up at the house.

This picture is from The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. One of many trips made with out of town kinfolk.

I wonder who took the time to braid that falling water?

We made it there once after three solid weeks of rain. It is a beautiful place. We were at Oregon Dunes National Park, just outside of Reedsport.
It was a pretty awesome summer.

Morning. I think.
How was your night out, TC?
Are you rested this morning, sion?
Great photo, Thomas!
Don’t know if I’m ready for the day or not, but I’m here. Maybe. Sorta. Kinda.

We had a very good time. The temperature was extremely pleasant. The mosquitoes were few. A Hawai’ian band was playing, and they sounded okay from a distance. Tasty food, and mildly alcoholic fruit punch in safely limited quantities.
The plants were looking great. It’s been a hot summer with steady rain, just what they like.

I’m glad your evening out was a nice one.
Were all the critters safe and sane in your absence?

It appears so. Wednesday followed me upstairs when we got home and called me several rude names. We haven’t had an evening of watching TV and socializing with Wednesday all week!

I think it is a K3-ll automatic waterfall braider. This area would not have this much water most of the year so they took a small natural waterfall and gave it implants.

I won’t be doing much today. It’s too humid to go anywhere, and besides: My critters need me.

The dragons are feeling friendly today. Anoreth said Slash likes Thomas Sowell.
Anoreth and Bill are going to see the Batman movie this afternoon.

My son was a little disappointed in the Batman movie, but he said Sam liked it. They go to movies at least once a week.
