The last gardens I saw were on the Oregon coast, just north of Coos Bay.

You;re thinking of Shore Acres.

Beautiful place.

Been there a few times, myself.

They've a really nice (enclosed, warm) lookout near the cliffs, with big windows where you can stand and watch the breakers coming in from the sea. When the surf's up, as when there's a storm tide, a stroll along the top of those cliffs will get you soaked in salt spray.

If you're ever in the vicinity around Christmastime, make it apoint to stop in; the lights they set up around the gardens are amazing, and they always serve hot cocoa, cider, and cookies up at the house.

We made it there once after three solid weeks of rain. It is a beautiful place. We were at Oregon Dunes National Park, just outside of Reedsport.

It was a pretty awesome summer.
