I like the line of progression, there. As technology grows, so does the use of an object, apparently. I wonder if that could be proved on a pie chart?

I want a full report on what went on while I was gone, and Wednesday won’t hold anything back :-).

The dragons are out socializing now. It’s so hot in here that they hardly need their heat lamps.

Send them here for a week...they’ll be really happy, for sure!

I’m sure Wednesday will tell you everything. And she’ll do it with a wide-eyed innocent look, too!

You could plot it on an X/Y graph and get a hyperbola.

As the technology inherent in an object increases, its useful lifespan decreases. Probably the relationship is inversely exponential, like y=1/(x^n).

I even have the old MX-80FT printer out in the shed. In the original box, yet.

RX-80F/T here, original box. Bottom pin no longer fires.

Somewhere, I have some MS-DOS WP 5.0/5.1 and some Lotus 1-2-3 floppies...and the destruction books...and my notes....

Some old stuff around here still. Including the original "Internet In A Box" -- in the original box.

Hold up your left hand, palm away from you, and extend only your thumb and index finger to form an “L”. The graph will look like that, with the region of increasing technology (and decreasing lifespan) being to the right.

Or you could plot the Algore and get a hyperbole.

But I never knew buggywhips were so hi-tech.

Buggywhips, perhaps not.

Bull whips? Yeah, verily!

You can visit any big rodeo and see (and hear, and smell) the hyper bulls.

Some of us preceded Mr. Bill.

I got my first Internet access in 1974, soon after Algore didn't invent it. Of course, it was called the Arpanet then, and I didn't have e-mail, Usenet wouldn't be invented for 5 years yet, the world-wide web was still a LONG ways off, access was REALLY limited, so... it went unused.

Bullwhips? I’m told the world’s foremost maker of same lives in the area, his store (specialty products from Wales, Australia second) a half-hour from here.

"I want a full report on what went on while I was gone, and Wednesday won’t hold anything back ..."

You have to have some spare time available to really appreciate Wednesday.
