This is so sudden and sad. He was just 58 and died while at work.

While it is sudden and sad, it sounds as if he lived a very strong and full life, his son had just graduated from college and he and his wife had just returned from a trip to Italy. I would like to go suddenly without any lingering, painful decay.

Yes I agree, quicker is better than lingering IMO.

In followup to the trip to Italy, he may have developed a blood clot from the prolonged sitting.

I have my ‘light’ housework completed and now I plan on taking the rest of the weekend off!

I’ll rest, I promise. It’s just that all week I’ve let things go to the point it was driving me crazy. But I didn’t go any heavy lifting and the dr. said I could walk (within reason) so I think I’ll be ok.

Trust me, the last thing I want to do is have a set back.

checking in, briefly. Internet is very slow. Perhaps to heavy usage? Just don’t know.

I have baked 2 pans of bars to take to the Nat’l Guard Armory where guardmembers are being housed when not sandbagging.

bbl, if the Net holds on.

Medical people really do make terrible patients. My primary physician told me I was his WORST “charge”, and he used the word charge. He’s such a lovely doll. One time I tweaked his cheek, and boy did he get red faced, I thought his nurse would pop. She left the room and I could hear her laughing in the hall.

Although I called him timmy, disrespectfully, he was a good family man and good Christian. Prayer strength for his family.

It is always in the back of my mind that we (hubby or I) could develop deep vein thrombosis with those long rides. I understand that you usually can’t know you have it until after the clot causes trouble.

I’m listening to Fox and Friends. They are reporting that President Bush is thinking of converting to catholicism.

That's very interesting.

The online courses are not user friendly in that one cannot check to see where one did not answer corretly to prepare for the next test. GRRRRRR!!! CPR is not logical to me.

Then I went back and set everything back to Automatic to automatically populate the IP address and it worked. Who knows why....

Stuck/lost lease in the DHCP server. Linksys routers are terrible about that.

On the extreme left is an XP laptop that has my email client and Trillian client on it. In the middle is the Vista laptop. I use it to walk customers through setting stuff up, and to play Eve-Online. Here on the extreme right is an old HP laptop that has been running linux for 4 years. I do everything on it. It's even a RADIUS server.

I have Vista because I HAVE to be able to support it.

If you get a Vista box, TURN OFF THE IPV-6 protocols. They are hosed, and if you move around networks a lot, it gets very confused.

There are tests, now, to determine if you have that problem.

prairie, do you know anything about this problem?

They are reporting that President Bush is thinking of converting to catholicism.

What on Earth is this all about? Was it the pope's visit?

I didn’t know that. Do I go to any ole doc and ask to have the test done? Or what?

President Bush had a very private and long audience with the Pope. There was someone Catholic on Fox and Friends this morning reporting that the rumor around the Vatican is that President Bush is thinking of converting. That is all the FnF people reported.

Well, It would be a tragedy to see President Bush replace his direct line of communication to the Lilly of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, The I Am That I Am, the First and The Last, The WORD that became flesh and dwelt among us, the Creator of the Universe, the Alpha and Omega, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords,.......with a human intermediary.

I am mindful that there are many Catholics on this forum.
