You know you are probably right. I can’t really examine enough to make a decision on it.
But if you want to read the real rumor mill here’s a link to a ton of it:
Alright, i’ve heard enough of this Hoax business, so here’s the deal. I am a sales manager in an Apple store in the United States and i can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that we also received boxes like this and they have been sitting “unopened” in the back of our stores for about 4 days now. The box you are seeing in the photo is enclosed in another box, that box is a plain brown box with only a shipping label. The photos are in fact real. We have had training guides and and documentation on the new iPhone for almost 3 weeks now. An Apple representative came and replaced our hard wired firmware erasers with new bases last week and installed a 3G AT&T base station in our store. The only reason such a tight lid has been kept on this is because Apple sent out a notice that any leaked information would result in instant termination. Let me give you an idea about what this new phone will be like.
Here is what I can without a doubt CONFIRM for you:
3G (Obvious)
Increased space: 16 and 32gb models.
Real GPS
Three colors : White, Black, and Red
Video Conferencing
New Firmware on the device (also obvious)
3.2 MP Camera (Camera APP also received an update with new features such as zoom, brightness control, resolution, etc...)
SMS App update (now includes MMS and Video messaging support)
Price drop: starts at 300
There are a few more cool things i’ll let you wait for the keynote to find out about.....there are a few things no one is expecting.....
And oh.......not phone.....but phone’s (more than one model)
Good Day
I am not responsible for the spec rumors. I am merely propagating it.
OOOHHHHH, I don’t have one yet but me likes the red one. :)
I talk on my phone while I'm driving whenever I have to. Although I do use a Bluetooth ear piece. And the phone is capable of voice dial. Either by name, or number.
Never have to mess with the phone.
Only if it's an iPhone.
It's because I'm unimportant that I have to have a phone with me everywhere I go.
Management would kill me if I didn't.
Ho hum.
I want a querty keyboard and I don’t want to be locked into THAT carrier.

I just want to be able to shoot the morons who cant keep in their lane while yapping on the phone while behind the wheel of a car . . .

Got to second you on that account. I’ve been smashed into twice by women so engrossed in their cell phones they ran red lights at full speed. One died and the other almost tore my arm off. I have no sympathy for idiots on that scale.
Me too. Blackberry is whipping Apple by using a real email keypad instead of emulating one, plus the Bold can open/edit/send/receive Word and Excel docs and surf the web.
Apple is going for the hip college kids...Blackberry is owning the business world (who wants to video chat with their boss?!).
So, when is the Bold going on sale?
I say fake. There are some clumsy mistakes in the renders (compare the position of the hold switch at the top) that make me think it’s not real. The UI of that supposed video chat is off, too.
The colors sure do look nice, but nuh-uh.
Hey, Swordmaker, Engadget has obtained some info on the 3G iPhone’s firmware; there are references to A-GPS, among other things, embedded within.
Finally: pocket videophone! BFT!
That was just announced a minute ago.
For anyone ... live blogging the keynote:

I found a live audio feed. The show is over now. The $199 iPhone will be available on July 11th, with 3G speeds, GPS, APIs, Push Notifications, and many other new features.
That was just announced a minute ago
But will the iPhone(iTouch) run the projector ?
Thanks. I’ve been waiting for that [here at the office] :)
