S'ok. Only rotten barstids can make bread, and I've got a starter piece that's been with me for a while.

But, as good as my bread is... I make good soup, too. So. Ipso facto... impure of heart can make good soup, but only rotten barstids can stay up late enough to make good bread.

Nah, you are pure as the driven snow, but who likes to think of himself as unworthy...well, I just gotta say, making bread is not for the faint of heart (like souffles)...you have to adjust for the temp and humidity RIGHT NOW to get it right...takes experience, it does...;-))

My hands (and knees) just hurt because I have a degenerative disease. Other than that, everything is good.

I have eaten more possums than you have ever seen. But that's ok. I'm non-threatening. :) Really.

It’s a menu special this week... until we get rid of them from under the house.

I did not mean to make light. I lift prayers for your wife, and her condition. And I thank you for sharing the link with me.

I'm just a tired old grumpy barstid. Fingers don't work so well anymore. And I have catz to feed, and they don't ask questions about what kind of meat is in the tamales.

I can deal with catz.

Prayers lifted for you and yours. Folks on this thread have served under orders, or had kids that served under orders, or both. Sometimes both.

And my dear good son-in-law would grab me by the back of the neck and say... DROP IT, DAD. So... I will, given his example. Mean little barstid..

Thank you for sharing that. You are so right. That’s how He hurt His hands. Also, our soldiers are doing the Lord’s work.

Which reminded me to share this honor I got. As the youngest and I were waiting for our very tardy rides to arrive a sergeant also came outside to wait his ride. I said “thank you” and later we struck up a conversation. He had just a week earlier finished his fourth tour in the current conflict and was also nearing the end of his 20th year of service. He was now anticipating retiring from the service. Then his ride pulled up. He got up to go over to the car and turned to pick up his duffle and backpack. I reached for the backpack saying, “I can’t carry that [the duffle] for you, but I’ll be honored to carry your backpack.” He let me! That was so cool.

Last night I get a call, about 1915. It was JemiansTerror asking, “where are you eating tonight, Mom?”

I respond, “If you were here, we’d eat at Outback.”

I had two Wallaby Darneds and a ribeye.
