My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Wait not the rise of dawn,
for it waits not for you
no amount of glib or fawn
hold it back, ever can or do

Dawn, arrived on the heels of night
her frock was that of black and white
a light cloak of chiffon broke the dawn
her hair the color of a fawn

her arrival sent blackest night
into the caverns of fright
where nightmares reign with
sheer delight, holding secrets
clothed in blackest caves
ne’er to see the light of day.

Dawn, the mistress of the day
held her head high soaking in
light’s ray, and with the dew fairies
did play, until the heat drove them away.

Good morning, everyone, time of dream of Dragonflies!

The Dragon-Fly

Life (priest and poet say) is but a dream;
I wish no happier one than to be laid
Beneath a cool syringa’s scented shade,
Or wavy willow, by the running stream,
Brimful of moral, where the dragon-fly,
Wanders as careless and content as I.

Thanks for this fancy, insect king,
Of purple crest and filmy wing,
Who with indifference givest up
The water-lily’s golden cup,
To come again and overlook
What I am writing in my book.
Believe me, most who read the line
Will read with hornier eyes than thine;
And yet their souls shall live for ever,
And thine drop dead into the river!
God pardon them, O insect king,
Who fancy so unjust a thing!

Lovely, Ms Feather!
It's a beautiful day here..I am not even going to check on

Well they’ll stone you when you try to be so good
They’ll stone you just like they said they would
They’ll stone you when you’re trying to go home
Then they’ll stone you when you live all alone
But I would not feel so all alone everybody must get stoned

Well they’ll stone you when you’re walking on the street
They’ll stone you when you’re trying to keep your seat
They’ll stone you when you’re walking on the floor
They’ll stone you when you’re walking to the door
But I would not feel so all alone everybody must get stoned

They’ll stone you when you’re at the breakfast table
They’ll stone you when you’re young and able
They’ll stone you when you’re trying to make a buck
[ Everybody Must Get Stoned lyrics found on http://www.completealbumlyrics.com ]
They’ll stone you and then they’ll say “good luck”
But I would not feel so all alone everybody must get stoned

Well they’ll stone you if you say that it’s the end
Then they’ll stone you and then they’ll come back again
They’ll stone you when you’re riding in your car
They’ll stone you when you’re playing your guitar
Yes but I would not feel so all alone everybody must get stoned

Well, they’ll stone you when you’re all alone
They’ll stone you when you’re walking home
They’ll stone you and they’ll say they are brave
They’ll stone you when you’re sent down in your grave
But I would not feel so all alone everybody must get stoned

OHSA and the Cowboy

Twas dark the day OSHA came to the range
and as welcome as terminal itch mange
Cowboying they’d make so safe they said
and in our hearts came the knowing of dread
the horse had blinders, binders, and roll bar
and the saddle had seatbelts like a car
headlights, tail lights and the turn signals too
and a bucket to catch that odious poo
the cowboy had a helmet and face plate
body armor up to a magnum rate
the cowboy’s boots were now red running shoes
jeans were a jumpsuit in electric blue

Enoughs enough, so we rebelled at last
and the OSHA boys weren’t all that very fast
we roped them and hog tied them oh so very tight
and we got to work that dark summer night
we branded them RGI on the hip
then we pulled the pigg’en knot to slip
Retarded Government Idiots they was
and most didn’t even have to shave fuzz
we put them in pasture safe and remote
and gave them a nice flock of cute girl goats
We’ll keep them there nice and safe to be sure
and once a year the clippers will whirl
