Our PBS station is airing it Friday July 4th at 7:00 PM CDT and repeating it at 8:30 PM CDT the same night. It's 1 1/2 hrs long. I'm not sure about C-Span. Know you will have really enjoy your cookout and fireworks display, but maybe your son could TIVO or DVR the program if you will otherwise miss it. I love watching the show!
But all I do is cry (Cry, cry, no more laughter)
Oh, I should be happy (Oh, why did he go)
I only know that since he left my lifes so empty.
Though I try to forget, it just cant be done
Each time the doorbell rings I still run (I still run)
I dont know how in the world to stop thinking of him
Cause I still love him so (Love him so)
I end each day the way I start out crying my heart out.
Oh, one less man to pick up after
No more laughter, no more love
Since he went, oh, he went away (He went away)
(One less bell to answer) Why did he leave me
(Oh, why, why did he leave?)
Now I've got one less egg to fry (One less bell to answer)
One less egg to fry (Oh, why, why did he leave)
And all I do is cry
(One less bell to answer) Because a man told me goodbye
(Oh, why, why did he leave?)
Somebody tell me please (One less bell to answer)
Where did he go, why did he go (Oh, why, why did he leave)
How could he leave me?
.
And I do appreciate it. :) I still get email pictures from MY FAMILY! that are so huge both in physical size and in bytes that I mumble every time I open them. :)
Yes, a bazillion is spot on!
To the moon, Alice! To the moon!
:) I still find myself watching for that wave when I’m stopped at a RR crossing. :)
That, and I love feeling the air vibrate. It must be like waht people report feeling when they’re close to elephants and the elephants are talking. :)
I loved Johnny Cash..........so many of the good guys in this field are dying also. Eddie Arnold just died in the last few weeks. I went to a concert of his one time. Hubby and me and another couple. We two women went to the back of the stage which was a hallway where he was signing autographs and he gave Nancy and I a kiss on the cheek. This was many many years ago and we really thought that was something.
I won’t tell you what I did when I saw Elvis. Elvis came here twice not long before his death. We got tickets to both concerts even though some of us had to stand in line like 10-12 hours. He was heavy then but we loved him just as much.
You little devil!!!
Did they bite on it? hehehe (I am whispering)
Yep, Johnny’s good. Another song hubby would play on the harmonica was “Red River Valley”/
Did you see where I had that old big 33 album of Johnny Cash! We could have two Johnny Cash records...I have so many of those old 33’s. Isn’t it funny that I have hung onto those? Would you say I’m a packrat? Have some Frank Sinatras, one of Jimmy Durante, have a bunch of Elvis “movie albums”. I collected a lot of Elvis stuff, have it stored in hall closet. When he died, I called Memphis newspapers and bought 10 of the next papers coming out and do you know they are still rolled up together with string or rubberbands, I forget...havent’ seen them in a while. Bet they are worth something to a real collecter.
LOL — a little less than a bazillion - there are some ugly council houses just out of camera range
OESY, at least those toes don’t have those little fungus monsters crawling under the toe-nails! ;-)
Mine, too. Kipling was read at our wedding, and Riley has always been a favorite - I treasure every word he ever wrote, and have all the earliest editions of all his work.
Billie, I thought of you the other day when someone posted something and it had over 950,000 bytes. I had no trouble viewing it of course, but I can undestand dial-up!
So funny!
Spooky!
teeheehee~~
