No Polly, my grandchildren are grown up! I got that and several others in an email and when they stand out I keep them. One of my sweet granddaughters came up to go swimming today. She is in college and works also..both of my girls do. When I say girls, I mean grandchildren. I had two sons and was pleased when my son had two girls! (My son’s lovely wife~~LOL~~) Hope you’re doing okay, Polly!

Hi Dita...I need to eat a bite of supper..don’t know what it’ll be. How be ya? I went to get my hair done today and asked my gal ‘could she do anything with my face?~~LOL~~’

LOL, JC! I always tell my hairdresser (when she asks what I would like), “I don’t care. Just make me look younger, thinner, and prettier!!”

Oh, I’m so happy to know that Doggie is back, even as I was praying for her return. Prayers for Daisy now.

Your Doggie's return is terrific news. (I've been out much of the day so I'm just catching up.)
Few things in life are as traumatic as losing a pet or as exhilarating as finding it again. When I lost the dog I grew up with (someone had poisoned her), my parents didn't want to tell me until I returned from college. I sat in our backyard patting the grass that had grown up over her grave for an hour. (We think her son had been abducted a year before to be sold to a local medical school.) The loss can be devastating.
Let's hope your neighbors will soon experience that same wonderful feeling you felt when Doggie returned.

Thank you, Dearest Nan, 'Dita, Polly, and OESY for your Kind Posts and Prayers! OESY, your Post Brought Tears to my Eyes when I Thought of you Patting the Grass over her Grave. Where I Live in the Country, Dogs are Occasionally Poisoned by Sons of Belial, and One of my Neighbor's Dogs was Murdered a Couple of Years Ago by Someone with a Rifle or Shotgun. :(
My Husband, Doggie, and I Searched for a Long Time this Evening for the Neighbor's Dog, Daisy, but Found Nothing, and I was Watching Doggie Closely to See if she would Go to Daisy, but she didn't. My Heart Goes Out to her Hurting Owners, and Thank you All for your Prayers for this Situation.

Gods Greater Goal
I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 2 Corinthians 12:8
I have an unmarried friend who prays earnestly for God to lessen or even remove his sexual drive. It causes him constant temptation. As gently as I can, I tell him I doubt that God will answer his prayer the way he wants. More likely, he will learn fidelity the way anyone learns it, by relying on discipline, community, and constant pleas of dependence.
For whatever reason, God has let this broken world endure in its fallen state for a very long time. God seems to value character more than our comfort, often using the very elements that cause us the most discomfort as His tools in fashioning that character. This was true in the life of the apostle Paul, who prayed fruitlessly that his mysterious thorn in the flesh be removed (2 Cor. 12:8).
In my own life, I am trying to remain open to new realities, not blaming God when my expectations go unmet but trusting Him to lead me through failures toward renewal and growth. I am seeking a trust that the Father knows best in how this world is run. I see that the way in which I may want God to act does not achieve the results I might expect.
When God sent His own Sonsinless, full of grace and healingwe killed Him. God Himself allows what He does not prefer, to achieve some greater goal.

consequences of our sin. Read Why Did Christ Have

Roasted Chicken with Orange Blossom Honey
~adapted from Charlie Trotter by Fancy Toast
Ingredients:
1 cup orange blossom honey
1/4 cup chicken stock
1 3-4 pound chicken
kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
The honey glaze creates a deliciously crispy skin. Even if you dont eat the skin, prepare it this way, and the meat underneath remains moist and flavorful.
Glaze:
Place honey and stock in small saucepan and whisk over medium heat for 5 minutes, until smooth.
Bird:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Place bird in roasting rack in a roasting pan and season with salt and pepper. Generously brush the glaze all over the chicken and roast for 45 - 60 minutes, or until the juices run clear (if using smaller birds, less time will be needed). Brush on additional glaze every 15 minutes during the roasting. Remove from oven, let rest for 10 minutes, then carve.
Gone celebrating! Hiccup!

Take me, take me far away,
back to my home next to the sea,
collect with me precious leftovers
of childhood debris,
cast away the old
broken key. Down by the window
there is a tree,
come,
lie down next to me,
feel underneath us the warmth of that primordial cradle, ground,
listen to the feverish choir of cicadas evening sound
dreaming potpourri.
Golden lights, the shape of fruits
will come to our bed, to our pillow of grass,
echoing to our dreams lullaby,
the sound of moon's flute.
Hug me, hold me,
and I will kiss you
with never broken promises
of orange blossom scent
on my lips.
