The multimillion-dollar Long Island home at the center of a dispute between rapper 50 Cent and his former girlfriend was destroyed by a suspicious fire early today, officials said.
The blaze occurred just days after a heated confrontation inside the woman's lawyers office over the home.
The rapper does not live in the home and was not there at the time of the fire, officials said.
Six people inside the Dix Hills home suffering smoke inhalation, including the former girlfriend and a boy fathered by the rapper.
A firefighter also suffered a minor eye injury, officials said.
Fire officials from the Suffolk County arson squad were called to the home after Dix Hills Fire Chief Larry Feld deemed the blaze suspicious.
The fire was reported about 5 a.m. and extinguished an hour later, officials said.
The rapper's ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and two of her children - including 50 Cent's son - were among the injured.
The other three adults in the home were not immediately identified.
Earlier this year, Tompkins filed a lawsuit against the rapper - whose real name is Curtis Jackson - claiming he had promised her the $2.4 million house more than a decade ago but that since their breakup he now wants to evict her and their 10-year-old son.
Tompkins' lawyer, Paul Catsandonis, said the dispute over the house had become "extremely, extremely contentious" in recent days.
Although he declined to be specific, he said there was an "extremely dangerous incident" Monday in his Manhattan office while taking a deposition

Dix Hills sure has changed.
When I was living there (1990), Dix Hills was a collection of large houses inhabited by upper middle class folks of Jewish and Italian ancestry. It was incredibly boring, and its inhabitants incredibly tacky.
Kinda reminds me of when Aretha Franklin's home burnt down.....
Google it....
A lot of my family lived there so I guess that makes me and my family incredibly tacky. The last thing we need are more of those garlic nosed eye-talians and joos around anyway, right? <sarc
If this is the same guy who attended the University of Chicago, he is one questionable individual.
I'm sure it's fully insured.
It's not outside the realm of possibility that it was looking to Shaniqua as if she might actually get evicted, and she decided to destroy the house - only for the fire to get much further ahead of itself than she initially anticipated.
She must be quite a skank, oops I meant winner, every image of her is blocked by google here at work.

Here's the domicile in better days. $2.5 million, huh? I think he could have done better...
Much happier here in the Princeton area. I guess the NJ equivalent to Dix Hills would be Manalapan.
Wideawake, you’re a fellow Maroon? You may have told me that in the past, but, much like a Harvard man, I forgot...
“He’s supposed to be all about being a gangster ... that’s not a gangster, that’s a coward.”
Sorry Shaniqua, that IS a gangster. What an idiot.
That’s what you call a McMansion.
Here in Indiana you could buy that McMansion for about 12% of what they say its worth there.
