The actress and political activist takes John Hiscock on a tour through her film career - and her forthright opinions
Don't expect to see Susan Sarandon showing off her house for any glossy magazine. The Oscar winner, who combines beauty with brains and political conscience, has far too much going on in her life to care about keeping the New York home she shares with actor Tim Robbins tidy, let alone photogenic.
Susan Sarandon "A long time ago, I had to really give up on any semblance of order," she says with a sigh. ...........................................

"If McCain gets in, it's going to be very, very dangerous," she says.
"It's a critical time, but I have faith in the American people. If they prove me wrong, I'll be checking out a move to Italy. Maybe Canada, I don't know. We're at an abyss."
When, When, WHEN are these people ever going to keep their promises?

The Oscar winner, who combines beauty with brains and political conscience, has far too much going on in her life to care about keeping the New York home she shares with actor Tim Robbins tidy, let alone photogenic. Plus its probably ten times bigger than the average middle class home and shes ashamed of her wealth and the neat stuff it buys her.

Susan lost her ever loving mind when she played the part of a girl raped by the transsexual alien in the movie, Rocky Horror Picture Show. Since then she can't tell nonfiction from fantasy.

"SARANDON: I'm going to back Obama, but I hope -- I think that he as a symbol has really excited people, and he's definitely confusing to everyone who really hates America for hating, you know, Muslims, because a name like Obama and a black, they're probably going to go, "Oh, wait a minute, what?" It's kind of like, you know, when you're out on the line for, you know, freedom to have an abortion, and you're incredibly pregnant, they just can't quite figure out -- so I think he definitely has convinced people that he stands for change and for hope,
and I -- I -- you know, I can't wait to see what he stands for."
