Well, there ya' go. I'm a fascist because I favor the private sector handling non-essential governmental functions, despite the fact that the idea is a linchpin of economic conservatism.

And that would make anyone opposed to the above a communist. See how that works?

And as an aside, how do you propose to prevent this creeping, infernal “fascism” first promulgated by Margaret Thatcher, and then Ronald Reagan? What governmental solution do you propose? I’m guessing more Amtraks.

You might try the SPP website, for starters.

But now that I think about it, unless you come up with an alternative that does not involve more government (to quash PPP's), you are Chinese. Literally.

So have at it: let's hear your proposals for the operation of a power plant, waste treatment facility, cell phone network, etc. Without the corrupting interference of the private sector, of course. Be careful . . . .

You're misstating. You favor PPPs which are fascism.

the idea is a linchpin of economic conservatism.

Wow, what a whopper. PPPs are the linchpin of the United Nations, and socialist EU and foreign governments all eager to loot the US economy. They are hardly 'economic conservatism'. And if you were such a proponent of economic conservatism, you'd support constitutional tariffs and the abolition of the income tax.

These people apparently weren't the conservatives they have been made out to be, by your reckoning.

LOLOL! Whopper two! How about Constitutional government as an alternative? You "free traders" are a laugh riot.

Great. How does “Constitutional government” run a nuclear power plant, genius?

Is that why you love government so much? Is that the only employer you've ever had?

Since government spending is the only thing keeping the domestic economy from completely imploding due to the corruption of globalization and "free trade", you're worried that the government might actually get smaller if we returned to constitutionality! May your nightmare come true!

Even a simple question ties her in knots.

And [she] is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

I'd be willing, in fact eager, to reduce government spending by 50%. In her drug induced state, she would consider that proof I'm a commie.

I'm trying to figure out how the operation of a power plant (for example) by a private firm is unconstitutional. Congress has the Article I, Section 8 authority to exercise legislation over "needful buildings." There is no Constitutional mandate that the building itself be operated by the government. Legislation is just regulation.

Unless a Constitutional scholar wants to correct me . . . .

Under a public/private partnership, the firm is NOT private. Of course in your zeal to grow the size and influence of the federal government, you fail to acknowledge that.

I want a private company to operate a nuclear power plant. Therefore, according to you, I'm growing the size and influence of the federal goverment. Yet you are not growing the size and influence of the federal government, because you want . . . oh, that's right, you haven't stated how you want to operate the nuclear power plant. You're sitting in the dark eating hand-picked nuts and berries.
