This is a serious piece by Scott Ott for Memorial Day. I think it is well worth a click (hit) in order to read to its conclusion. I just ran across it and it did not appear to have been posted already.

It is a good piece. What's sad is that so many people today - not just are elected leaders but a majority of our citizens - have forgotten and don't know how to confront evil. I read many years ago that when Hitler attempted the Beer Hall Putcsh of 1923, the maximum punishment for his crime was the death penalty. Yet, he only got a few years and then released. Right there were two moments to be rid of him. Another was in the 30's, when we knew he was violating the Versailes treaty. He should have been crushed then.
Today, we see the same thing happening in different places. Iran, North Korea, etc. And we utilize half measure or act without conviction or will toward these dangerous countries. And the irony of it all is that Hilter unleashed a war so devastating that we - the free counties of the world - are reluctant to rev up to that type of fighting. And slowly we bleed to death.

Can you imagine the joy of these men being reunited in heaven? It will be joy beyond words.
