As Shania Twain copes with her sudden split with the support of family and friends in her native Canada, sources close to the singer say she is reeling from a double betrayal – not only by her husband of 14 years, music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, but by a woman she considered a close friend.

Lange's relationship with Marie-Anne Thiébaud, 37, a longtime secretary and house manager at Twain and Lange's estate in Switzerland, was behind the breakup, say several sources familiar with the situation

Women aren’t the only ones who are cold, and who wants a great looking guy if all you do is dinners, dishes and laundry. I get tired of hearing women are the ones who are cold, its more men than women especially after thirty.

No, I mean an average-looking woman in her late 30’s.

The gentleman in question. I'm thinking I'd never be *that* drunk, no matter how gorgeous his New Zealand estate is.

Who is that guy? That isn’t Shania Twains husband I hope? I saw the woman he was supposed to be having an affair with. and men usually are attracted by looks, whereas women go for security or emotional attachments. Shania Twain could get someone ten times better than this guy??? Of course I prefer a much different type.

Yes, that is he. Quite a dog, isn’t he? The clothes and hair suggest this is an 80’s picture, so he’s probably gone downhill since then. He was a big, big music-industry power, though. Maybe still is.

The old saying goes like this: “Behind every gorgeous woman there is a guy tired of nailing her.”

Trading down! That’s like going from a Ferarri to Vista Cruiser Station wagon. Guess Mutt got tired of all the gear shifting and winding it out in favor of a bench seat and comfortable, boxy security.

You know the camera, and tv’s add 10-15 lbs, so just think what he really looks like.

It’s the 80’s-rock hair. I can’t remember whether I liked that in the 80’s ... probably not. He’s some kind of radical vegetarian, too. Rich, though ...

And what good is a masculine, attractive guy if all he does is look in the mirror...that works both ways. More men not meeting their obligations than women after thirty...and it isn’t because women are badlooking either.

You know looks are relative. I'll never ever understand WHY women think Brad Pitt or George Clooney are sexy guys.

{{{shudder}}}

But even if they looked like Gabriel Aubrey or Josh Holloway & wanted to become one with the sofa or gripe all the time, eventually that would get old. No matter WHAT they look like.

So basically looks are a matter of opinion & even good looking ones can be shown the door.

ROFLMTO...Let me tell you that when I was VERY young, and went to NYC for first time, and turned the corner on BLeaker ST in Greenich Village...what I saw coming at me was unbelievable. HAIR was a popular Broadway Show then..or winding down. Anyway this guy was wearing a US Flag made into a jumpsuit with HAIR fanned and curly way out about 6 inches long in one of those afros that were popular...I still occasionally have a flashback of that scene...whew! The trip up the Empire State Building and the tiny, tiny yellow cabs did not impress me as much as that guy.

Thank you for saying that. Women aren’t as interested in looks as men. Women want security, and that doesn’t mean money, it means knowing the guy is for real and not a BS er; and that his head isn’t swinging every time a nice looking woman walks by, and that she is the focus of his attention. I despise arrogant men, and I do not like George Clooney, it has nothing to do with his looks, but his idiotic personality. And Godly men are very few, so some of us have had little to choose from....not that we haven’t met some great men....and not that we are looking because we all aren’t.
Men however will not be attracted without the looks, because they are visuals and women are emotionals...usually, and there is the rare one who violates the norm on both sides. Those are statistics.

He looks like one of the performers from “Ratt,” which is funny for a man named “Mutt.”
