Its a quarter century lated and Im still not over it. I sympathize. I used to love the taste of Coca-Cola, till some time in the early 1990s I noticed it always tasted like "Santa coke"-the coke cans sold around Christmas time had Santas on them, and the contents were relatively bitter or harsh in flavor. (We hypothesized that that's because they put less sugar in it then so people could mix it with alcohol. )I now realized that's because they had changed from sugar to high fructose corn syrup, but at the time all I knew is coke now "sucked". So I quit drinking it and switched to Sprite, and now I rarely drink sodas at all.

Also, the versions overseas still have real sugar. I like the Jones Cola- only cane sugar!! The flavor difference is huge.

I feel the same about marshmallows..!
The old time marshmallows were special....a wonderful texture and taste.
Today's jet puffed stuff is awful!
