The controversy is over a T-shirt that read "puschin' it to the limit" and on the back it reads "Class of .08 Seniors."

Somehow, this shirt is supposed to promote underage drinking. The article doesn’t explain it, nor the weird spelling of “puschin’”. I guess I’m too old to get it.
I think .08 must be the legal limit for blood alcohol in their state...so the shirt refers to being almost at the limit for drunk driving.
Don’t know if “pusch” is a play on “Busch” or if they just thought the spelling was cool, or if there’s some local slang involved there. It could actually be teen slang I’m not aware of...
make them take them off.
puschin
Busch beer?
Pshaw...that’s nothing.
We had a Vice Principal back at our high school named Raymond Mohney. He was a toughie whom NO ONE liked. (During the Iraninan Hostage thing back in ‘79-80, we referred to him as ‘Ayatollah Raymohney’...)
Anyway, one of the more artistically-gifted among us seniors (Class of 80) drew up a pattern and put it on a t-shirt, then had several printed. It had a dead-on perfect caricature of a smiling Mr. Mohney, holding one of those fancy old-fashioned cone-shaped beer flutes, with the caption “Brother Ray invites you to the Senior Keg”. On the back were the day, time, and place it was happening.
Anyone wearing the shirt was sent home and told to change. Needless to say, those that left did not return that day.
pusch is little known slang for male genetalia.
another MI ping for ya
You’re in violation of the rule against using “little” and “male genetalia” in the same sentence.
Not very inventive. When I was a Senior....oh so very long ago....we pushed the administration to allow us to sell condoms with our school logo on them.
Lol. That’s funny. Did he have a mullet like Joe Dirt?
Many Mullets in those days. Anoter T-shirt making the rounds said, “You’re Ugly”
Sigh. We sure were ‘to the point’ back then.
These days, they would call the cops, the PC police, call for suspension or expulsion, and 500 hours of "sensitivity training."
Parents of the students should wear the t-shirts to the graduation.
I’ve been threatened with “sensitivity training”. Come to think of it, the person that threatened me with it I told to f*** off. I’m as sensitive as the next guy.
LOL!
That would be my response as well, although I might add, "A$$hole!"
