Arlen Spector is a miserable excuse for a United States Senator.... Then again, so are about ninety of his colleagues.
If this is all they have to do, adjourn the Senate and send them home for the rest of the year. We are currently drowning in a mortgage crisis, sky high gas prices (heading for outer space!!), food shortages, natural disasters, etc., etc.
If this is the most important thing that Specter and the Senate can find to do, they need to go home and get REAL jobs!!!
Anyone doubt that our government is irretrievably broken!!??
?
An investigation right up there with “What Happened to Judge Crater?”.
Damn, some Eagles fans just can’t let Super Bowl XXIX go, can they?
This is a game. If the NFL can't handle it, then they will go the way of the WWE - entertaining to some but no one should take it seriously. It has nothing to do with governing the nation. And if you say that it does because of all the money local governments pour into stadiums supporting the teams, I'll respond by saying "maybe they shouldn't".
Pay attention to the war, the spread of radical Islam, the inability of the nation to drill anywhere, the huge waste of money on farm subsidies or whether there is too much table talk at the national euchre championship.
Actually the last sound like it would be great for a parody of Specter. The man should be publicly ridiculed for his antics.
They owe the public a lot more candor and a lot more credibility, he said.
BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAA
You would think that our idiot of a senator would have better things to do. I just wish he would stick to doing things that the government should do and keep their noses out of things that are really none of their business!
Does Scottish law have a precedent here?
(How ya doin’!?!?!?)
I wish Goodell would flip Spector the finger and dare the Congress to pull the NFLs antitrust exemption. We will be hunting spotted owls in the country before the politicians would be willing to tell the fans of the NFL that they were breaking up or closing down the league!
I have to say that I’m really torn on this...
I’m outraged that congress thinks that they should have anything to do with professional football, or sports in general.
On the other hand, the more time they spend on this nonsense, the less damage they can really do to the country.

Aw geez, not this !### again. Of all the problems in this country, Specter wants to spend time on football? The only good thing about that is that they aren’t screwing up other stuff.
If Arlie has so much time on his hands and wants to get torqued off about something how about looking into drilling ANWR and off shore and lessening our support of foreign oil and ethanol...
